i had a strat where i would have only craig block + enrage freeman and revive him after he died. i got really far into his fight early game but then he started taking two turns and i died shortly thereafter

Have Scott stand in front and attack and block. Have Craig enrage to attract attention and attack if necessary, have Wendy debuff. That and Scott is immune to charm due to his freckles, so he can't be turned against you. Took me half an hour, but no one died, did it it all in one try.
Secret bosses aren't secret, they're just called that because they're optional, really difficult bosses that most people don't know about upon a first run. See also, Superbosses.
Fun fact: if your character is black, Morgan Freeman won’t fight you no matter how many times you punch him

I beat him by whittling him down with status effect damage, and having jimmy revive down characters while invisible.
