    Bizarre brilliant movie. Cage's best performance after years of crud. Amazing cinematography and soundtrack, ultra gore yet simultaneously hilarious.

    I saw this movie last night and my only regret is that I didn't see it in the theater on the big screen. I have a big tv and decent speakers, but they don't do this film justice.

    No such thing as Cage rage, the guy is just very good at his job and he’s the only one who does what he does. The quality of the films has nothing to do with his quality as an actor, he just goes there and his energy and passion are infectious. The guy is always interesting and I think recently his output has been so good that the dumb memes are finally quieting down. Gimme more Nic Cage, I’ll watch it unironically.

    • @KitTaylorOfficial
      @KitTaylorOfficial ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah he handled that question well. I was even annoyed watching it... yes of course he has a "stereotype", but to reduce his incredible acting chops to "Cage rage" is insulting.

      @@moomoopuppy5810 I'm starting to think they just can't handle grown-up horror. Same as with Panos's debut BtBR. They feel Panos's very special brand of overall cosmic dread and confuse it for a bad film, because they can't handle feeling like shit, rather than just some silly ugly eye candy or childish jumpscares that are part and parcel of a commercial horror flick. It's a very similar kind of feeling like shit as when you're watching "Hereditary" or "Midsommar", only that Panos is all retro and a much greater audioviosal artist than Ari Aster.
      I mean, Aster is not bad, but I don't think there's anyone else in the 21st century that comes remotely close to Panos in talent, except Robert Eggers with "The Lighthouse". Even Lynch's season 3 of "Twin Peaks" was so blatantly ripped off from BtBR, though he's still the best Panos imitator so far. Another decent imitator was Jonathan Glazer with "Under the Skin". His most literal and inherently most talentless imitator is Winding Refn ever sicne "Valhalla Rising", but most people see Refn's films first and then accuse Panos of being the imitator, when Panos is the original whose films were released first.
