@@johnsondoeboy2772There's black political podcasts. There's black podcasts about race, religion, finance etc. It's just that blacks are so divided on certain subjects none of those podcasts can a mass the numbers it would take to make em notable. We're too splintered a group to make a single podcast that we can all relate to that would do the numbers of a Joe Rogan in that arena. For example the black version of Fox News would never be able to compete with the real Fox News because unlike Wytes blacks pride themselves on not being a monolith when other groups not only move like a monolith their very success comes from it

The problem with podcasting is once covid hit every famous person wanted to do a podcast so people is showing less interest in it because everybody have a podcast but once these celebrities started to enter the podcast world. You can see the shift change. It’s all about if the content good and can you step outside the box. The first mistake people make is thinking about getting money off of podcasting, soon as you think like that you already failed. If it’s no passion behind it and you not doing it for the love of it then you in it for the wrong reasons. I been doing this podcast thing for years and it was never about making money off it. It was therapy for me. Everybody wanna do this and that’s the problem.

Part of the problem (I'm not in it enough to say 100%) is that ALOT of people got into podcasts without understanding how tech companies operate or without understanding how a podcast ACTUALLY works. So they get in, dropped mad money thinking they would get so many M's. Now they're figuring out the hard way that they should never got involved if they didn't even do a simple amount of research. The worst part is, podcasters should be setting up their own website and finding a way for listeners to easily check your podcasts and you could get most if not all your money instead of going through these tech companies that have no interest in embracing whatever your culture is.

The podcast industry is currently worth 24B and is projected to be 131.4B by 2032. So is it really saturated? If you’re podcasting without a product or service to sell it will be 10x more difficult to make $$$. Relying solely on ad revenue will not be a profitable approach for 97% of Podcasters.

There is actually lots of money in podcasting if you are creative enough for example if you start a podcast in your town or city or county maybe even your state. Interview residents business owners visitors elected officials and offer advertising to small businesses in those places you can make 6 figures. The problem people want to be worldwide. They want to launch a podcast with no real target audience and expect corporate money with little to no following or subscribers. Niche based podcasts is the key

When you depend on brand deals, you are basically working for someone else. The real money from podcasting comes from you developing your products and services. The same goes for any other form of social media. In my opinion, podcasters need to focus on entrepreneurship by selling their own things. You can still work with brands as an ancillary part of your business. But never depend on that because algorithms, pay structures, etc. change.
