I enjoy watching you saw. How come you generally turn your first face down instead of against the headblocks? Is it looking for a better grade? Or stability of the log on the carriage? Thanks, trying to learn.
It's the stability and usually faster. It's hard sometimes to tell if it's flat against headblocks so I try not to spend time trying to do that. Thanks for the good question!
When I saw cross ties I always turn my 1st cut to the blocks but I run a 01 frick handset mill an that's all iv ever sawn on iv always wondered if I was in a cab it would be hard to see alot of the things I can see pulling a stick but then again iv always figured a cab was much safer lol
Plus I don't grade any of our 4/4 we just sell it to the public for barn wood I figured that's what u were doin it for when u told the other guy an where u know it's flat
@@ethanmullins7585 I saw on a 00 Frick. I'm generally sawing framing lumber so I usually turn my first face to the blocks too. When I'm doing bigger logs, I'll turn it down. Just to make sure the log won't roll off into the saw.
I think a slab of wood got down between the carriage and the blade. And the divider got bent along the way. Where is your normal edger guy, this guy sucks, lol
The splitter bar didn't get bent and the edger guy is doing great. He's taking his time to try and get bd edged correctly. He's not just grabbing it and sending it through . He's studying it a little bit. I haven't had a long-term edger guy for over 2 years. He retired after 25 year's. It's fine for 3 or 4 bds to be on pop up chain. That's what it is there for.
Thanks for another enjoyable video.
You're welcome! Glad you're enjoying the videos.
Love this!
Awesome! Glad you liked it!
Thank you for sharing another great video! Dan
Thanks, Dan! Glad you enjoyed it.
Enjoyed I think the resaw man found out if you gonna work for this guy you got to take the heat 😅👍
I rekon so.

That blade is doing some fancy movements, looks like its loose.
It got hot. Guide pins were out of adjustment. Was not loose.
You’ve got a lot of arm chair sawyers today. 😂
Definitely seems that way for sure. Thanks for watching!
What happened to the blade? Metal? Nice job and video!
Guide pins were out of adjustment. Didn't hit metal. Thanks!
Estou observando que o circuleiro tá devagar e deixando encher
Taking his time to edge it the best he can. It's ok for some bds to be on pop up chain. That one of It's purposes. Kind of a staging area.
