Luck? I honestly think your mom is a garden fairy and your dad is a gnome! Your plants are always big and beautiful! Can you do a video on some of your plants that are struggling, (if you have any😂) so the rest of us can NOT feel like planter killers😢 Happy Holidays

I’ve always been great with plants, including my vegetable garden, and my mom has said I’m just like my grandmother with plants. I live in her apartment and just like her I filled both windows with plants and they love it! I barely do anything with my indoor plants, even when it comes to fertilize or do pest/disease control. Sometimes plants just love certain people ❤

Explaining your conditions in this video was the secret people are looking for. They’re native to warm high light medium/high humidity areas. ❤

You’re keeping your fertilizer you use a secret. You’ve been asked many times on various posts you’ve made. 🤷🏼‍♀️

She probably is avoiding that question but nutrients do not make a plant happy when it would otherwise be sad because of other environmental or care issues. Alocasias have many sensitivities and fertilizer doesnt fix any of them like watering, light, or humidity

@@islandsicedtea hi, do you know the best timeline/frequency for watering? I don’t want to over or underwater my new baby. I got it with brown tips on some of the leaves and currently keep it in a mildly lit area of the room. Thank you in advance for any tips you may have.

The love for sure! But also I believe a lot of people are much too afraid of watering plants! Some houseplants get rain every day where they come from.
Lovely plant humans, other than dessert plants, plants love water 😍😍😍 indoors tends to dry plants out fast, this comes out of their leaves and stems as well as the soil, so love your plants with *Water*! 💕😊💕
Ps the secret she doesn't realize she IS giving us to water them. 😊
I've of mine that is maybe a year old is now flowering, and I have horrible soil BUT I try to keep water in the overspill tray. Lots of water in crappy soil = Flower 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m honestly stunned at how well yours grow. I’ve got three that get pretty decent light but they still grow super slow. I water them pretty often and the humidity is in the 50-70 range. I’m still not sure what I’m doing wrong or if it’s just not enough light for them. My anthuriums love the light

I have one that's doing great for now. I killed the previous one by messing with the roots. Now I keep the new one in the same soil I bought it with. I am afraid to mess with the roots now so I am not messing with them any time soon.

So, what about leaving the baby corms attached to the mother?? Why they take too much energy away? I've got 4 healthy babies and the mother is sending up a leaf after dying back.
