Towards the end - when Arvind Swamy runs away from Karthi’s house - he wears Karthi’s slippers by mistake - and when he runs, the slippers come off. Literally meaning “Meyyazhagan’s shoes are too big to fill for Arul “. Initially, Arul, when closes the door of the old house for one last time , he has also locked his heart. In the last scene, when he knocks at Meyyazhagan’s house door, it’s also Arul trying to open his heart which eventually is opened by Meyyazhagan. I watched this movie in Cary N.C. USA. with the fervent hope it would be like 96 movie. But it was not upto my expectations. Jallikattu incident is not the only insertion. It has many unwanted insertion. Tamil elam genocide, Anita's suicide etc aren't in no way linked to the story. At the first shot, Arul was emotional in leaving the place and house. But after many years his visit to the same village, he should have opted to buy the same house or any other house in the village. Instead he is asking for a loan to buy the house in Chennai. Arul's childhood friend Latha's character seems to be an insertion, as there is no flash back highlighting the scene
My only question with this movie is. When Arvind samy comes out of Karthi's home in the early hours, he could have called his uncle or cousin and asked who he was. I felt the movie was dragged with no logic at the end. Its emotional but strong hold illa.

I watched this movie in Cary N.C. USA. with the fervent hope it would be like 96 movie. But it was not upto my expectations. Jallikattu incident is not the only insertion. It has many unwanted insertion. Tamil elam genocide, Anita's suicide etc aren't in no way linked to the story. At the first shot, Arul was emotional in leaving the place and house. But after many years his visit to the same village, he should have opted to buy the same house or any other house in the village. Instead he is asking for a loan to buy the house in Chennai. Arul's childhood friend Latha's character seems to be an insertion, as there is no flash back highlighting the scene
My only question with this movie is. When Arvind samy comes out of Karthi's home in the early hours, he could have called his uncle or cousin and asked who he was. I felt the movie was dragged with no logic at the end. Its emotional but strong hold illa.
