This 10" digital frame can be hung on a wall or stand on a shelf or table. It's very easy to set up and use. Your friends and family can send it photos by simply sending an email to it with the picture attached. It can hold over 8,000 photos, so there is plenty of room. You can also hit the heart on the photo to send a note back to the person that you liked it. It can be paused on a single picture or be in slide show mode with a customizable speed. The brightness can also be adjusted. There is no annual plan, but the Plus plan comes with premium options that allow for short videos and more. On the Skylight Cloud, you can send and access all the photos through the web or the app.
The Skylight Frame would make the perfect present for a family member. Image having a digital frame in your home that your family could send pics to from around the world. It would be great for a business to communicate sales, hours, open, closed, and much more. I'm sure we'll also use it as a sign for menus and such. A great idea for a wedding present by giving everyone at the wedding and reception the email address to the frame. The married couple could go home with candid pictures of their big day on the frame.

This is a great gift idea for Grandma! She’s a widow and most of her grandkids live in different states and/or far away. I bet she’d love to see photos of us all, especially on the days she’s feeling weak and can’t get out of the house.
This is truly the best mother's day gift I have ever received! I get to watch my grandkids grow every day and they send me videos of them saying their first words and taking steps! It's a highlight of my days to have this on my desk!!
Hello! I have heard some mixed reviews about this product. I am just about to order it but I had seen that after 15 photos are loaded, it requires you to purchase the monthly subscription and it does not let you delete photos without they subscription either. Could you confirm this?

Thank you for this review! I had already done research and purchased this, the idea for a wedding gift is great! Our Nana is turning 100 in February, so though the frame arrived late for Christmas due to a backorder situation, we received it A MONTH before the backorder date!!! WOW! Extra note for y'all. Our Nana doesn't have WiFi in the nursing home, so the 8gig of memory is important in more than one way. This CAN be used offline! We're going to upload photos before sending it. Then local family members will get the frame from the nursing staff occasionally to take home, connect to WiFi, and upload more. On a personal note, the subscription for the extra features is worth it. It's reasonably priced, and annual - not monthly, and being able to upload videos (even without sound we can hold up signs for happy birthday, etc - because she's very hard of hearing), plus the ability to add captions to photos so she can know who is in the pics, and where they were taken. Especially with her nursing home being on lock down without visitors, it's a great way for everyone to keep her in touch with our lives. Even more important for those of us half a nation away!

just found this in a thrift store brand new still in plastic for 6 bucks. glad i bought it
We got one for our parents, but it only worked on my sister's Wi-Fi during set-up. On our parents' WiFi, it continuously kept saying 'Signal Lost' despite inputting the correct WiFi password, therefore never adding new pix confirmed through the app. Further, it was placed within 10 feet of the WiFi hub, so distance was not an issues.
Finally, the menu button on the back doesn't do anything nor is mentioned in Skylight's online help. Now granted, we don't have the annual paid subscription, it looks like that menu option is still not functionable. We're returning it & checking to see if Pix-Star will work better, especially since it allows connection to a Google Photos album.

Question 🤔 it has no sd card slot why not have that as a feture you culd expand the memory with a biger card and show photos direct from sd i could take card out my camera into the frame and display my images simples 🤗

You can add videos if you subscribe to Skylight Plus. It costs $40 a year.
The issue is giving a small third-party company your email, phone number, and WiFi password to allow two-way access to your router. The security risk isn’t worth the benefit, particularly when other companies that likely already have your personal information (like Google if you are using TH-cam right now) have smart frames that can be shared with family via cloud, do more out of the box like “hey Google”, never require a paid subscription for full features, and are less expensive.

When it is powered on and connected to WiFi it will start downloading the photos that were sent to it. A notification pops up to tell you new ones are on it
How do you feel about the image quality from different viewing angles? Is it noticeably good/bad/average? Wanting a frame we can upload over email for new grandparents.
The resolution is 1280 x 800. So not as good as your monitor, but most people won't be looking at the photos from really close all the time. I thought it was average from different angles.

Can I play a my heritage moving picture?
Since a lot of these will usually be sent to grandparents and whatnot, how does anyone know how to monitor when the storage is getting full and how does it get managed? I would like to manage it for the grandparents since they will not be really able to do it.
I didn't notice anything to show you the storage status, but the 'Plus' annual plan allows you to manage (upload and delete) photos from the internet.

With the Plus annual subscription, you can download the pictures. Keep in mind they will be the version of the image that is processed and sent to the frame (at that resolution)
Disappointed that captions are limited to 48 characters, hard to get date people and location in that space. Mobile app is easy but same features are not available on the website, such as editing the caption.

Yes - I did that exact thing and gave one to my wife’s parents and one to my parents pre-populated with pictures. Now the entire family adds to them.

How to use audio with Skylight frame
This is good for sharing photo's, and watching the photo's display in the order received for 10 seconds. It is simple to use. That is what you get for the purchase price. Fair. If you would like to customize anything to your preference you must first purchase the annually renewing $39 'Plus' package! Not fair. In 'Plus' you are not receiving anything that is not loaded already. Warranty? There is absolutely no warranty, you buy the frame as is. If it is faulty out of the box, tough. The company owners should not be financed any more than the purchase price. If it lasts 5 years, you will have spent $195 in addition to the purchase price. That's a terrible value. Keep it simple and enjoy.

On their website, it says that there isn't a way to adjust the brightness. It also says that was from one year ago. Is this a newer feature? I'm wondering because I just gave one to my grandmother in the nursing home, like 2 weeks ago. I'm writing her a simple list of things she can do. I was going to tell her that she cannot adjust the brightness. Can you tell me if she can or cannot?
I was able to change the brightness with the buttons on the back of the frame. (The circle on the back which has 4 buttons) They were not labeled as brightness though. The model on the back of the frame was 'Model NO.: Skylight 2'
@@TheFriendlyReviewer Thanks! I think I will leave it off altogether, and save it for a future conversation with her if she complains about it or seems to have everything else down pat. She is in a nursing home, stuck in her room due to coronovirus. Scary times for people in nursing homes! We can't get in to see her, but a social worker was able to help her easily set this frame up. What a blessing for her and our family!

@@Ramimaa6 Hi! She does like it. The nursing home social worker helped her to set it up. (I did everything from my end that I could right away.) But then the social worker kept the manual apparently, so when she mentioned that the pictures were coming in the wrong way, I sent her a typed up list of all the things she can do, like turning the photos, zooming in and out, what the heart was for, etc. That seems to have helped her! My mom talked to her on Sunday, and she's checking it a couple of times a day, so that's a good sign. I used the trial for the Plus subscription, which I didn't think I'd necessarily like. But now today I just bought it (with a $10 discount code). My mom also said however, that when someone calls her, it turns on her frame!?! She could hear my voice in the background. I'm wondering if she bumps it when she grabs her phone or what, lol. But that's why I'm on here today, to send her a little write up of the buttons on the OUTSIDE of the frame. I don't want her to have to relisten to every video I have sent her, when it's on the slideshow. That's another reason to get Plus. She's not been deleting anything, so I could do that from the app. I don't want my videos to take up all of the space, and kick off my cousins pictures. No one else has been sending videos, but I think it's a great option! I feel like she has gotten to know my little kids better, 40 seconds at a time. I did a video just of the birds singing one day, as she isn't allowed to open her window, since people were taking advantage of that from the outside. So, overall, totally worth every penny!! And she's obviously not he most tech savvy, and she was able to pretty much figure it out, with just a tiny bit of assistance. Overtime I have no doubt she'll have everything figured out. But from the get go, she was at least able to see and hear everything without really doing anything. This was the best frame choice for her, because of the ease of use.

Displaying video is a premium option ? Wow, that's a fail. Paying for cloud storage is fine, but for software unlocksble features for hardware you've already bought is just plain robbery
