My grandmother came from Venice to America. She started teaching me when I was 6. Through the years, I have created some blouses and dresses and other things. They were too fancy to wear for daily use. I had no idea that lace making is still being done. Or that it is costly. I have a big collection of it. Another lace I make is Clones lace. It is made with crochet thread, but uses a fine steel hook instead of needles or bobbins. Lace is fascinating. You can take 2 different artists but they can create a multitude of new patterns
