I had ideas for these prompts that I really like, so I'll share them. Wilderaith: From Wildebeest and Wraith. Wraiths, generally, are a shadowy apparition bearing the likeness of someone who just died somewhere else. Plays well with the mask concept. They could appear as a bad omen to family members of somoene who's about to die, wearing a mask that resembles the person in danger. Similar to Absol, they would likely be blamed for the tragedy despite simply trying to give a dire warning. Leember: From Lemur and Ember. Pronounced like "Lee-Ember". My initial thought was that it could have been a Prometheus reference, "A prideful monkey who stole fire from the gods", the animal part could be any colors, with the earthy tones fitting fine as a result, then have it holding a holy looking torch with it's tail for the fire typing. I imagine it having a branched evolution, one that becomes a Ghost/Rock type to continue the Prometheus reference, and another that stays Fire/Ground, becoming a flaming holy lemur. The "Cursed" and "Redeemed" forms. Rattlisk: From Rattle and Basilisk. The idea of combining a poisonous snake with a petrifying basilisk fits the typing and shape really well. I don't really have any over the top details for this one aside from the fact that it could be a pseudo-legendary. The idea is certainly impressive enough.
I love this collab drawing video the most. being able to see the drawing process of each of them while they are talking to each other was great, and felt much more enjoyable to watch than the 4p1d or 10 make 1 (although those are still great). I'd love to see more!
I love how the color of the gnu's head on the moss backround is reminicent of a hunting trophy mounted on a wall. It gels really well with the concept.
Would love to see a follow up video where you all adjust these fakemon to your clarified vision. Like switching color palletes, creating evolution lines, etc.
My main problem with the snake design is that it doesn't read as a dark type. For the leamer it's actually the Axe tail, it just looks like it was added on as an after thought. And finally GnUuUuUuUu: They took his cake. For real though there is one part in the mossy mainot that is just incomplete. With that all said I would say GnUuUuUuUu wins it for me.
Glad someone else was bothered by the dark typing not being represented visually. Ntm when I think gen 5, I think of its more muted tones and abundance of black, white, and beige pokemon.
It's a challenge for a reason, they had barely any time to think and were probably stressed. Also dark type refers to an "evil" type not literaly darkness they don't have to be all dark colored, look at nuzleaf, alolan grimer, bombirdier, inkay and scraggy, imo they don't really scream "dark" type

The style Ron used on his pokemon this time looks SO much like traditional tattoo work. With the single wing and limited bold color especially *MWAH!*🤌🏼
snake body... rock/flying type... with gen 5 aesthetic... and THEN Ron pulled up the Quetzalcoatl colors! I really thought he was about to just draw Archeops lol! But all the designs were really fun and interesting! Would to see more chaos with the wheel!
I have an idea for a name of the Wildebeest fakemon... it could be Startingnu as in Starting a New? Maybe it should be in a category called Resurrection (if there is such a thing?) That way it can bring back not only itself when it faints in battle but also bring any other herd animals with it? Just a thought... 🤔
These designs are utterly smashing in execution. Ron, flying snek is adorable, I would adopt them. The sail wing is quite unique that makes it really stand out, definitly would make it's movement more different when I imagine it flying. John, Gnuu has this mix of cool and haunting, it may look dead but it still looks strong with mask and floral growth. Phee, Fleemer, the big arms and hands are a fav design in characters and I love how it came out, looks like they gives great hugs and the expression is neat, shows off that wild element to her that I also like. The fiery mane does give them a feminine element to them and I thought that is was going to be more behind the head rather on the sides.
How about Gnuway for the Ghost/Water Gnu? Not only does it keep the name "Gnu" but it's a pun of "New Way" since it escorts other Wildebeests to a new path.
What a fun challenge! You should definitely provide others with access to the wheel you used for this, I'm sure a lot of artists would love to try out this challenge-myself included!
Alright, I'm only 7 minutes in, but I have to say; bats: no keel, insects: no keel, pterosaurs: no keel! Keels are exclusive to birds and are *not* required for every creature to fly! Ok, eddit after watching the rest: Gnuuuuuuuuuu is really great! There's just not enough stoic Pokemon, but this, I want one! For the lemur; maybe Rescur; from resin, residue, rescue (heavy rescue is a type of fire fighter job, perfect for this guy,) and lemur, it also sounds like rescuer. I really like it's big energy. A solid design, maybe the ax just jutting out of its tail is a little much, but definitely a fun guy/girl boss you'd want to be rescued by! Serpearl feels like a good first stage of a starter line! The single wing hinting at more to come, a design that's simple yet complicated, and it's oozing a reserved/cautious personality like, "don't step on me!" 10/10 for everybody!
Clothes based lemur? Maybe based off a mannekin? Like... maybe give it a sewing needle made from a Cacturne it can use to heal its cloth body or stab something chasing it through the thick jungle trees? I'm not yet a third of the way through the video at the moment
Flemur has a tail with an axe. Tail + axe... T-AX! Poor fella just couldn't evade it in the end.

The style Ron used on his pokemon this time looks SO much like traditional tattoo work. With the single wing and limited bold color especially *MWAH!*🤌🏼
Ron truly is the girlboss of all time
As an Illinois resident, I like the bean. Obviously had more mystique as a child but yeah it's pretty neat.
Gnumad.
Sticking to the Africa theme with the Gnuuuu it could be named after the Swahili word for Death Kifo or the word for Ghost Roho.
snake body... rock/flying type... with gen 5 aesthetic... and THEN Ron pulled up the Quetzalcoatl colors! I really thought he was about to just draw Archeops lol! But all the designs were really fun and interesting! Would to see more chaos with the wheel!
When you make a Pokemon its so random, "Yeah this Pokemon has an identity crisis, come on he has 2 front legs, 2 middle legs and two back legs"
This video is AMAZING! Pls bring us a part 2
Very clever stuff in here!
Gnu + Ghoul = Ghnoul. Substituting firefighter with hero: Lemuero. Don't have enough info on the snake to come up with a clever name ;).
This is such a fun idea to do with friends
omg the chemistry was so good pls make more collabs i loved it!!
This is an awesome challenge. I loved all the outcomes.
Dangggg the gnuuuuuuuu looks so freaking good!!!!
Wow I really liked the colors after the inversion for the gnu!
Snekiroth is the best parody idea ever!
Alright, I'm only 7 minutes in, but I have to say; bats: no keel, insects: no keel, pterosaurs: no keel! Keels are exclusive to birds and are *not* required for every creature to fly!
Ok, eddit after watching the rest:
Gnuuuuuuuuuu is really great!
The single wing hinting at more to come, a design that's simple yet complicated, and it's oozing a reserved/cautious personality like, "don't step on me!"
10/10 for everybody!
"I like his beard-whiskers"
dare I say... SIDEBURNS
Yo dude just busting out that wildebeest design without pressing undo it's actually so good 🤣
Clothes based lemur? Maybe based off a mannekin? Like... maybe give it a sewing needle made from a Cacturne it can use to heal its cloth body or stab something chasing it through the thick jungle trees? I'm not yet a third of the way through the video at the moment
