The album tracks were recorded in 2017 but Burtons vocals were recorded much later, he had already left the band and came to an arrangement to finish the vocals a couple of years later so the album could be released
No he didn't, he and Dino recorded the album and sent it off to the label, there are videos of him recording vocals for Collapse around the same time, he never "came back" in to record anything. He did an interview with Jose Manguin saying the album was entirely finished and sent to the label when it was then known as "Monolith." Burton was already satisfied with the mix and how the album was originally recorded as he said numerous times in his Cameo videos, he tried to stop the GoFundMe campaign because he felt the album sounded fine as is. Dino used the vocals recorded in 2017. He said this on his twitter. The album was revamped to be released because Dino could finally release it but didn't like the original mix, the only reason why the album was released at all is because Dino got the rights to be the sole owner of the band. There was never an arrangement to come back.
@@FuhkFuhk Dino said he tried to communicate with Burt, and Burt admitted he just simply refused to communicate back. He was done with FF long before he ever announced it.
Burton didn't do anything, just the culmination of years of legal battles and band drama. And if you want to talk about song lyrics possibly hinting at his departure, react to the last song on this album called "End of the Line".
Uh, who do you think was the center of those legal battles and band drama? Burton. Burton wanted to be done with FF since 2002. Contracts, him needing money, and then trying to pull a fast one on the courts and his debtors (Raymond and Christian) is what screwed everything up. Drama was really a lesser issue in the end.
I highly recommend This Godless Endeavor by Nevermore. You appear to appreciate music with incredible recording chemistry. Nevermore should blow your mind.
Dino *never* sued his way back into the band. What happened is Burton wanted Dino back, FF flopped with Transgression and lost all their steam after Archetype which was a really, really solid release without Dino. Upon Burton burying the hatchet with Dino, Christian/Ray did not want to work with Dino again (there is a lot behind this - Christian wife/gf was managing the band, affair shenanigans were involved amongst Christian/Ray although they stayed friends and Burton refusing to work with this particular woman & trying to bring Dino back into the band). Burton purchased Christian's/Ray's rights to the band after some lawsuits for writing/recording/touring and immediately failed to pay & during this time, filed bankruptcy. While doing so, he/his attorneys failed to disclose his debt to Christian & Ray and all hell broke loose legally for Burton regarding his bankruptcy and ownership rights to FF. In all actuality, Dino ended up being an innocent bystander to Burtons financial failures and was unable to work under the FF banner he partially owned due to this. As bankruptcy court seized Burtons rights to FF, Dino secured funding to purchase the seized rights in auction (Burton was not legally allowed to bid on these rights unless the previous debt was paid in full - which was highly unlikely as the amount neared 1 million USD). Even after the legal issues were finally resolved, Dino offered to pay Burton the same amount of money he earned with ownership to carry on as a hired member, Burton went silent and later announced he quit.
@lemmykilmister7603 With all the click bait headlines out there over the years & all the untrue rumors spread around, it's been real easy to think & believe Dino ruined the band. In all reality, Dino/Christian/Ray never had a real legal situation together, they just had normal in-band squabbles and insults hurled through media (Christian mainly at Dino). Dino has said he hasn't talked to either in over a decade, but has said "never know" in regards to a future something regarding Christian, however Raymond retired long ago from touring/recording. Sucks that Burton was a good lyricist and vocalist, a pioneer of a genre....for so long and flamed out so hard in the end. He's basically burned every bridge along the way (city of fire,ff,gzr) & couldn't even keep his own project AOTW alive with a long time friend of the og band. Met Burt multiple times since 1999, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating to meeting & actually getting to hang out at shows. Dude just can't handle his demons.
@@dannotwalruslarkin9324 I've heard about City of Fire but couldn't actually find any of their music. I've listened to the GZR record he's on a lot as he is one of my favorite vocalists and I'd like to hear just about anything he's been apart of. It does suck how much his voice has fallen, but he's given us over 30 years of great music.
Wrong, he did EVERYTHING. He didn't get screwed over in rights, and Dino didn't screw him. He screwed himself. Completely. The court documents are still easy to find.
The new vocalist is amazing really does burton justice. Milo is great. Loved burton but drama no drama aside the band are better now than they ever have been. Saw them in London and they were killer without burton. Can’t wait for the next album. Great reaction dude

There was another band that used this song title, lol. It's from the original Mad Max movie
