great grandfather's brother didn't fought in Shanghai but did served in one of the German equipped divisions and died in 1938, he was the only one that stayed in China to fight
thanks for making battles that take place in Asia, can you do one alternative battle of Operation Zipper? It's a plan that was supposed to land troops to liberate my country Malaysia but didn't happen due to Japan's surrender being earlier than scheduled

If anyone doesn't know in the second sino-japenese war at the battle of Shanghai the Japanese casualties 30.000 and the chinese casualties 40.000... i think 🤔

think in Shanghai history book 80s said 1:5 to 1:10, Chinese Germany trained troops close 1:1

yes for both, Chinese soldiers during that time also widely use the Hanyang 88 which is the copy of Gewehr 88 but not as good as the Gewehr(accuracy is a bit doubtful due to poor manufacturing skill and the rifle is considered obsolete in 1930s)
