Just ordered 2 sets of the 1/2 sizes 😊😊😊 and omg I NEVER thought to put a tad of silicone into the jar, cure, then add a cup to fill the void to use less silicone THANK YOU 😮😮😮😮 BRILLIANT ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial hunny!! Very straightforward and informative. You make it look so easy❤ You gave me a good chuckle with the "we all want a clean bottom" lmao
Honestly once o worked out what kit and what resin to get etc it is. Took me forever and a lot of trial and error to get to this point so hopefully showing how I do it now will save others going through all that
Though I don't watch all of your videos due to different interests, I do want you to know how valued you are to all of us. Each of your vids contain such a wealth of tips and humor. ❤
Great tutorial, as always. I would love to see more of how you make your model scenery. When you have the time and inclination of course 😉. Stay cool. X
Excellent mold video Tracey. You did a wonderful job of explaining how to figure out how to pick the correct type of mold holder and how to make sure you don't make your mold too big. I've made that mistake. 🙄
Thankyou for showing different ways of soing awkward moulds, been really informative and very much appreciated. Would be fantastic to see more videos on mould making 😀
This was great thanks. I have been wondering about doing moulds and the better silicone to use etc. I think the colour on the candle holder is cute. Great video
Thank you so much Tracey, I kind of gave up on the mould housing, as it was just leaking, even with double sided tape and hot glue. So using the resin tape is a fantastic idea. Your pot and candle holder both turned out beautiful. I found your video very helpful. Thank s again. X❤️
I bought a mould frame from Temu for under £5, it's great as you don't need clips with it, it has narrow fittings that slide over the joins to keep it together. It came down in price a couple of weeks later to about £2.54 so ordered another one. Right now I have one sitting with a tissue box mould inside it as the mould looked quite bowed at the sides so wanted it to be straight but, like you say, it would be great to have half size pieces so i've had to bridge it with tape. When I was putting it together, I was wishing I could get half sizes. As a papercrafter I do a lot of boxes etc so I just make a box or box lid from acetate for smaller moulds
Thanks for a very informative tutorial Tracey. I have the housing & silicone but been too nervous to try making molds. I feel much less scared of doing it now. ❤
Cool :) I tend to avoid buying things from Temu that are clearly copies of brand names, but I don't think they have copyrighted these - otherwise Nic Pro's wouldn't be identical too
Really interesting thank you - I’ve only ever made one mold and used an empty pop bottle as I needed it tall + thin. Hmm may look at these forms though they look pretty versatile - never thought to buy them before.
These formers are really handy. Though I still use things like yogurt pots, pop bottles and all sorts too, depends if I can easily find the right size :)
Hi Tracey, great video, thank you for showing us this. I had a thought - I wonder if you could do this with lego bricks, as they click together don't they. Mind you, I don't own any Lego, so I can't try it out LOL!!! I can't wait to see your videos, they're all very different a brilliant. Take care, xx❤❤❤❤
Glad it was helpful! There's a mould of discount codes for the Let's Resin one down in the video description for you , along with the link for the half size adaptors
Nice! I got the tip to use plasticine to seal the bottom of the mould housing in another video, then one of the first comments was that plasticine prevents curing?? The crafter used Let's resin 1:1 silicone rubber in her video and it worked just fine.
Glad you liked this one Mizz. That was probably me with the silicone - I often just stick it down with more silicone. Yep Plasticine causes some weird reaction with silicone and I always mention that in my videos. You end up with a horrible goo
I found it extremely helpful!!! thank you for doing this video!! i am trying to make more molds so i can buy less ones...lol....trying to save money where i can you know... but thanks again great job!!!
Very helpful indeed but please is their a way to make say a square mold for coasters without the lets resin ones seeing as postage to South Africa is sooo expensive I would like be able to make one without all the fancy stuff lol 😊
Yes, just cast from an original coaster in anything you can use to contain the silicone. Take a look in my mould making playlist, you'll see I use all sorts of pots
Thank you for this information, very helpful. I have something I’ve been wanting to make a mold of, but can’t decide which end should go up or down or on its side. It’s a small pedestal stand, a cupcake display piece. I also have a larger one to hold a cake. Nice looking pedestals with a round plain top attached. I’m thinking the cake holder top down & pour the silicone up around the pedestal part, so when demolding the pedestal would come out easier than the big round top. Would this be correct? Thank you Tracey!

It actually is given the right kit. Ah yes, I always make sure I have a clean bottom

Great tutorial Tracey .. thank you !
Thanks for watching!
I got a couple of sets from Temu too. Hardly any seepage at all. Great tip to put a plug in to save silicone and so much easier to demould. 💚🇦🇺
Glad it was helpful
Hi Tracey great video hood tips , both turned out great 😍 thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx

Glad I could help! Do the 1mm deep pour if silicone first and let it at least part cure - that really ensures a seal

You can do it!
Very informative as always! ❤
Thank you!
Great video, thank you😁
Thank you too!:
I got two identical mould housings from Temu and they are exactly the same as the let’s resin ones
Cool :) I tend to avoid buying things from Temu that are clearly copies of brand names, but I don't think they have copyrighted these - otherwise Nic Pro's wouldn't be identical too
Helpful as always!
Glad to hear it!

Lego works yes, the seal isn’t as good and I found I needed a lot of Lego which isn’t cheap. Sticking it down is tricky too. But yes, it works
This was very helpful! I will look for one of this molds forms. Thank you so much! 💐

That makes sense. You might find you'll need to top coat the top to finish it nicely
@@miniscenesgb thank you again
Do a shiny mold out of some thing that's not shiny to begin with?
Yep I'll do a video on that for you soon
I really wish I could get let’s resin silicone 😔
It's really good stiff. I'll be testing out Teexpert's silicone soon too
Do they make forms for round shapes?
Not sure who makes t he round ones but someone does. I’ll pay more attention next time I see one
@@miniscenesgb thank you.
