This is a VERY important message... one of the saddest workplace events I've ever experienced was my boss crying for weeks because she arrived at the realization that her life was only her career and that she had no children or family. She had reached the top of the corporate pyramid, only to find there was nothing at the top in the way of family, love, and emotional security.

It's a sad story, I hope that realization helped her to change things in her life. Sometimes we just need that wake-up call, that slap in the face to see that we're not at all where we want to be. Thanks for sharing that, I think this reflects the experience of a lot of people nowadays!

Look at the people that are a few years ahead of you in experience at your workplace. Do you want their life? If yes, go for it. If not, you know that in the long-term, there is something else for you more true to yourself. Of course if personal circumstances allows this (to echo what she says here too).

That's what I experienced before leaving my banking job. I looked at my boss and his peers and asked myself if I want to be in their position in a few years from now. I knew the answer and got out of there (after preparing of course!)

You speak truth here. The pain of discipline to pursue what is personally meaningful is temporary and will eventually dissipate and turn into appreciation while the pain of regret weighs a ton and can last a lifetime. Many of us can become frozen by our current circumstances if they are less than ideal or even oppressive because we allow fear (of lacking security, stability, habitual standards, etc.) to dictate our choices, so we accept substandard and even damaging situations to prop up the status quo.

Frozen is right, for many people it’s difficult to get out of this kind of paralysis. It’s only when we realize the risk of staying put that we can get out of that state if mind.

Maam one the major reason why i delay the work is I've been trying multiple things from 2022 and haven't suceeded in any of those , so now its just like my mind always does this thing you'll fail in this one also and I'm not able to get no work done

I get the urge to do multiple things. Try focusing on one thing first until you get a foothold. Then add on something new and grow that.

I have made this decision early in my life for minor things, a couple of years ago I decided to live my purpose too and it's been a fun ride so far. Funny though, I was just writing a guided meditation (which I'm going to record in the next few days) about finding and living fulfilled.
I haven't been able to leave my job yet but it's getting there, very soon I'll be able to. I have a plan and mitigation plans.
BTW, my purpose is Meditation, and I upload a few things here in TH-cam in this profile.
FIND YOUR PURPOSE, and live it.

Your videos are inspirational! Thinking of selling my place and using the capital gains to go for it. Would love to hear your thoughts or strategies on how to find your true passion. Everything seems to be so set on what you can and cannot do based on the framework set by people that employ you

And knowing that we are the ones who put ourself in that situation (where others set that framework) is freeing! Of course, the risk is not small...we sold our house years ago and embarked on a new life, and it wasn't easy. No regrets though as bit by bit we worked ourselves into the kind of life we wanted (not a life of luxuries, but more freedom). I guess it's not for everyone, but there are a lot of people who are in a position to risk it. Wishing you all the best!
