I grew up with this amazing band , saw them twice ! One time before Brix joined , and once when she was in the band !!

And there are bands, in fairness the interviewers is a fan
Like Frank Zappa's name being behind Beefheart and the Magic Band's willingly going through the hell of Beefhearts mad moods for the sake of possible fame.... no one in the Falls line up would have put up with MES bullying stick if it wasnt for John Peel's support and Radio 1 airplay over years being the carrot of fame that kept them enduring the abuse.
No act can "do it" only with Peel support. The Peel program, considering its eclecticism, was far from an ideal platform unlike the more conventional radio slots.
"they wouldn't be in the bottom 5 of the top 10" - just say top 5 then.

Hanley was a solid drummer, but I prefer Karl Burns’ playing. Great to hear his perspective though.
Love Pavement. Hope the best for this Fall band but punching up at bigger and better groups isn't the way to do it.
