Just watched this last night. Was one of my dad's favorites. He turned me on to all the great 80s action flicks. This is brilliant and on point. Very impressive. The 80s had some of the best movie soundtracks

Harold is an absolute musical genious creating music so fitting to the whole feel of the movie just as with beverly hills cop. But I must admit with T and C, I especially love the Cash intro, its so fitting of Cash's stupid gun slinging, mindless methods of just shooting first then thinking.
OH YEAH!!!!! That's what I always have too :) He has created so many masterpieces in his career, each one more beautiful than the other and I fully share your taste... Tango & Cash is one of my favorite movies and I have always loved the theme of Cash with that very ironic melody, perfectly suited to his character :D

Anytime , and you are the first person i have seen do anything like this with the cs1x, i have one as well but the quality of sounds to me kind of lacks, I have to use them layered with vst instruments just like you to make it sound good :)
Another CS1x owner... GREAT!!!! In fact, you have to work hard on some presets to get the sound you have in mind. Others, however, I found them perfect and very similar to the sounds of the 80s synths!!! With the addition of VST you get even more special sounds!! One day, I will make a video completely dedicated to CS1x to give some advice to fans of this synth :) :) :)

One of my big regrets is not buying the OST CD when i found it in a store years ago. Its not a cinema masterpiece but Tango & Cash is one of my favourites. This mix is incredible!

Faltermeyer may best be known for scores to Beverly Hills Cop and Top Gun (and to a lesser extent, The Running Man), but this score deserves more praise as well. A shame that the guy didn't get more memorable work after this movie.

Aha, I have the VSTs that you mentioned, all are really great ones and not very CPU consuming, well maybe the Jupiter 8 (it depends a lot on the machine you have). I'm a big fan of most of Arturia VSTs, they sound amazing. You should check the special offers they are doing now with the V package that includes the Synclavier, too!!! :-))) But I suspect that you still do a terrific job with the ones you have hehe. I'm very fond of the OPX VST, too. You probably knew it! It emulates amazingly Oberheim and Jupiter sounds and it contains some patches designed for most of the songs you published here. Great piece of software! Concerning maestro Faltermeyer, I purchased or acquired every piece of his music, CD, Mp3, Vynil...he's so so talented, not only for synth designing and programming, but for composing. So many great tunes he penned in the 80s!!! Please, keep sharing your covers, and keep making my days. Auguri. Be safe. :)
GREAT!!!! Unfortunately I have not yet had the opportunity to buy a new PC, the one I use at about 13 years old and has an Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 processor and 6GB of RAM, but I still manage to create videos and music. Oh yes, I also saw that package and it attracts me a lot!! Except that I have already made another small investment and I finally bought the VST Korg M1!! Really amazing!!!! I've always wanted it and I'm very satisfied with the purchase!! It 's true, I had seen some videos on the OPX and it seemed really good!!! I will write a nice letter to Santa Claus... it would be nice to also find the complete Arturia package under the XD tree!! I also really like how he creates the percussion (shaker, clap, Hi-Hat etc.). I too, would like to have the turntable to listen to the vinyls!! It made a great reading ;-) This is a good example that you don't really need the last Hitec gizmo to make good music with VSTs!! much better to know how to use these well. I also have the Legacy package for some time now, and it's a fantastic piece of software, I agree. I'm specially fond of the M1 and the Wavestation, both are practically clones of their hard versions!! Not too intensive on CPU always a good thing for our bashed computers :-D XD ..mine is a bit old, too, and don't like to be stressed hehe... Concerning percussion, I have to agree with you again, Faltermeyer is a master on managing percussion and effects, very important when you compose for action movies as most sequences just require a good percussion loop to underline the tension on screen. Take care, and keep doing good music, maestro!!! A big cheerio. :-))

All the covers, I only create them by ear (without MIDI or sheet music) because I have never learned the theory of music (I am self-taught). I started playing on my own, since I was 12 years old and I have become more and more passionate about the world of synthesizers. Anytime , and you are the first person i have seen do anything like this with the cs1x, i have one as well but the quality of sounds to me kind of lacks, I have to use them layered with vst instruments just like you to make it sound good :)
Another CS1x owner... GREAT!!!! In fact, you have to work hard on some presets to get the sound you have in mind. Others, however, I found them perfect and very similar to the sounds of the 80s synths!!! With the addition of VST you get even more special sounds!! One day, I will make a video completely dedicated to CS1x to give some advice to fans of this synth :) :) :)

Faltermeyer may best be known for scores to Beverly Hills Cop and Top Gun (and to a lesser extent, The Running Man), but this score deserves more praise as well. A shame that the guy didn't get more memorable work after this movie.

Aha, I have the VSTs that you mentioned, all are really great ones and not very CPU consuming, well maybe the Jupiter 8 (it depends a lot on the machine you have).
I'm a big fan of most of Arturia VSTs, they sound amazing. You should check the special offers they are doing now with the V package that includes the Synclavier, too!!! :-))) But I suspect that you still do a terrific job with the ones you have hehe.
I'm very fond of the OPX VST, too. You probably knew it! It emulates amazingly Oberheim and Jupiter sounds and it contains some patches designed for most of the songs you published here. Great piece of software!
Concerning maestro Faltermeyer, I purchased or acquired every piece of his music, CD, Mp3, Vynil...he's so so talented, not only for synth designing and programming, but for composing. So many great tunes he penned in the 80s!!!

Unfortunately I have not yet had the opportunity to buy a new PC, the one I use at about 13 years old and has an Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 processor and 6GB of RAM, but I still manage to create videos and music. Oh yes, I also saw that package and it attracts me a lot!! Except that I have already made another small investment and I finally bought the VST Korg M1!! Really amazing!!!! I've always wanted it and I'm very satisfied with the purchase!! It 's true, I had seen some videos on the OPX and it seemed really good!!! I will write a nice letter to Santa Claus... it would be nice to also find the complete Arturia package under the XD tree!! I also really like how he creates the percussion (shaker, clap, Hi-Hat etc.). I too, would like to have the turntable to listen to the vinyls!! This is a good example that you don't really need the last Hitec gizmo to make good music with VSTs!! much better to know how to use these well.
I also have the Legacy package for some time now, and it's a fantastic piece of software, I agree. I'm specially fond of the M1 and the Wavestation, both are practically clones of their hard versions!! Not too intensive on CPU always a good thing for our bashed computers :-D XD ..mine is a bit old, too, and don't like to be stressed hehe...
Concerning percussion, I have to agree with you again, Faltermeyer is a master on managing percussion and effects, very important when you compose for action movies as most sequences just require a good percussion loop to underline the tension on screen.

All the covers, I only create them by ear (without MIDI or sheet music) because I have never learned the theory of music (I am self-taught). I started playing on my own, since I was 12 years old and I have become more and more passionate about the world of synthesizers. I don't know exactly when but in the future, I will definitely make some tracks of this masterpiece and maybe they could be useful to you too ;) :) :)
