I have always had a particular interest in and devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, having attended church and school as a child in the parish of that name (nicknamed "OLMM") in Ridgewood, NY. I now live near Philadelphia, where the Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal has its home in Germantown. It seems that Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is never far from me! Although I had learned the story of the Miraculous Medal as a child from the nuns who taught at OLMM school, I didn't know much beyond the basic facts about St. Catherine Laboure, to whom the medal was first manifested. Always fascinated by saints, mystics, and visionaries, I wanted to find out more about her, and that's how I came to create this series. I hope you find it interesting!
I was so glad to see part 2 available - such a lovely tribute to a beautiful soul and wonderful example of a devoted, passionate lover of Our Lady. Thank you for your hard work so that others may learn and enjoy!
For myself, I can honestly say that this video about St Catherine Laboure is the most pleasant and best version of the life St. Catherine' that I've ever seen. I think that is primarily due to the narrator, whose pleasant, cheerful, and uplifting voice, along with the particular script and images, made it such and interesting and enjoyable view.
Wow, thank you! Comments like this make all the hard work worthwhile, and provide me with the encouragement to keep on making videos! God bless you. I hope you will keep watching.
@@edlspirituality1017 Did you write, narrate, record, edit, and choose and insert music and images by yourself, or do you have somebody else do some of those things to help you make such an exceptionally great videos?
@@dmitryostrovsky5763 Thank you. I do it all myself. It's work, yes, but it's actually fun, too. Even if I could afford to hire someone (which I definitely cannot, as I'm not even monetized yet), I probably still would prefer to do it myself, since to me that's the whole point of having the channel! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos!🙂
@@edlspirituality1017 The most amazing, beautiful, and most special part of your videos are your beautifully detailed and magnificently colored images that tell the story. To me, they are even more appealing that the best live actor dramatizations I've seen. You've been given such rare and wonderful gifts and you so generously chose use them to produce such motivating videos that tell us about our wonder Catholic Faith. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all that you do to make these videos.
@@dmitryostrovsky5763 Again, thank you. You are too kind! I do have an artistic background, and although due to the impossibility of hand-painting images for my videos due to the sheer number needed, I think my instinct for art helps me choose and create images with the help of technology. I believe in using every tool available to help bring people closer to God, even if in a very, very small way like my channel.
I've really enjoyed part 1 & part 2. Thank you so much for this beautiful and inspiring upload. I love how everything came together for this video. I am also thrilled to learn that St. Catherine Laboure and I share a sacred birthday. ❤
You are a Catholic but I'm not a Catholic. But what you are doing on this earth God knows. About this miraculous medal i don't know and i've to be like a stone. The Non living this but not living things that has life. The reward that has given to her is from the people's, it won't last long. But the reward that'll be given by God it'll last forever. Jesus Christ had said and it is written by apostle John in revelation. I am coming soon! The reward is in me. And it'll be given to everyones according unto what they has done. I am the. Alpha and the Omega the first and the last the beginning and the end. The medal that St Catharine get on this earth! I am happy. But maybe she is not happy because the medal stayed only for a while, and it'll live only when this world have life. ❤. May the St Catharine get the reward in heaven that will last forever. Amen. ❤. God bless and stay safe in God's protection on earth, as long as you have a life to lived on this earth. Amen. ❤.
The Miraculous Medal is still very much still around and worn by many Catholics. Yes, it'll end when the world ends, but then we won't need it anymore, as (hopefully) we'll be in heaven! :-) Thank you for watching the video and for commenting.
Can't speak for the Vatican, but my guess is that it's because Nov. 28 is the day after the feast day of the Miraculous Medal, which is Nov. 27. Thanks for watching and commenting!
