    Great video! We love Jan.
Also note, that currently you must use Python 3.10 or 3.11
I'm happy to chat with anyone who wants to build automations with Open Interpreter!

@@MikeBirdTech it's fairly easy to compile a more recent version too. I like to periodically pull down the main release and compile it. I just set the python3 alias in my shell to use the latest Python that I compiled and don't change the python paths elsewhere to avoid fucking packages up.

@@nietzschebietzsche I meant in order to use Open Interpreter. It doesn't currently support Python 3.12

Thanks, Open Interpreter is one of the most amazing open-source projects and shows one of the best practical uses of AI.
And it seems like I missed some critical information. I think I should have mentioned that information about the supported Python version.

Great video! I noticed you had LM Studio as an option, did you get that to work in the same way as you did with Jan?

I haven't tried it with LM Studio, but I would assume it would work in the same way.

Time to make my own, better voice activated assistant. One that does everything I wanted Google voice and Cortana to do.

Are you on GitHub, and what language and possibly framework(s) do you have in mind? Just curious because I thought about writing my own too. I'm just too busy, atm

Since I got my alexa years ago I've been waiting for exactly that, and I'm still waiting
I like what GPT-4 does but it only runs online and can't do tasks like that, and Alexa is a literal glorified light switch that works 50% of the time
