All audio clips were recorded with the ROOM #40 going straight into a Marshall Super Bass (non master volume made in 1973) and a new production made Marshall 1960BHW 4x12 cab. The amp was set once (to a clean setting) and the ROOM #40 was connected to the low input of the VOL 1 channel. Mics: Shure SM57 (dynamic) & Tbone RM700 (ribbon) both placed at center cone and on axis. Sound card: Tascam US4x4. Both mics were mixed at the same level and no post eq was used in editing.
@@frankgreco At least for the 30 kg weigh difference? You may not have a good Marshall where you play live? You are able to go directly to the mixer, through a DI of course? ... and e.t.c.

Next level...''TOP''.... I do not know what magic you did there in the workshop guys but this sound effect is by far one of the top pedals on the market. Cheers from Australia!!!
Great video as a matter of cameras, lights and shots. Regarding the rest, sounds great but this is how it supposed to sounds any good guitar on a good Marshall with a good player and a decent drive. I am expecting the more enlightening videos which I read are up to come!!
Sounds fantastic, but "all clips were recorded going straight into a Marshall" does not say much for the product. Maybe try again going into, say, a Roland JC?
Actually, I for one am interested in what this pedal sounds like going into a Marshall as I would be using it into a clean plexi ciruit. I'm getting one anyways but, wondering if my clean plexi's would "help" the Room #4 sound more authenic or become "too Marshally". Not too worried about it since I've been using a Runoffgroove Thor Fet-to-Conversion Thor pedal I built and its been "almost fine" I would imagine that with all the versatality of the Room 40 over my Thor pedal that it could even better be tailored to the inherit response of my amp. Nice video, thanks.
You're trying to show me how much your pedal sounds like various Marshall amplifiers. In your demo, you are plugging into those Marshall amplifiers. I have no idea what sound is being created by your pedal versus what sounds are being created solely by the amplifier.
Please take into consideration that this is the first presentation of this pedal to the public. So it's more like a video clip, but it was actually recorded with this pedal in front of some clean Marshalls. With a bit of patience, some "in depth" demos (where you will get to hear the amps clean and the effect of someone tweaking the knobs in real time), are going to follow by some well respected and well known guitar players. Kindest regards.
Hi Scott, I hope all is fine with you. Well thanks for that comment because you giving us the opportunity to make clear that all guitar parts were recorded with the ROOM#40 into the channel 1 of a 1992 Super Bass amp (made back on 1973) and a 4x12 1960BHW cabinet. The amp was set once to get as clean as it could be and the rest was made by the ROOM#40 pedal and the hands of Billy Merziotis. A Shure SM57 & a Tbone Ribbon (a very cheap one) mics were used to capture all the sounds. All amps and cabinets shown in the video are only for demonstration purposes but also to show how the ROOM#40 was set on every song, in order to recreate the tones of each shown amp. Some more videos including AB comparisons with the real thing are in the schedule. Once again thank you.
Hi good people of tsakalis! I have this pedal for 3 months more or less and i'm having certain volumen problems pairing it with another ods. Where do you recomend to place this Room 40, before or after the ODs?
There is no a certain answer on that and It depends on your taste and your setup, but we suggest to put it after the ODs. ROOM40 is an amp in a box style pedal, so imaginary it is your "Marshall style amp" you play with.
Does this pedal use JFETS or MOSFETS? I would have liked if the Pedal had Presets Modes so you don't have to adjust the knobs for hours and can easily get to the preset you want. GNR first album Preset, EVH Brown sound Preset, Randy Rhoads marshall Preset, Jimi Hendrix Marshall Superlead very edgy tone 1970 preset, Led Zeppelin Jimmy Page Preset. I think these presets will be the most usable to make good riffs and guitar solos.
Per others' comments re demo via Marshall, etc - I had an idea. You can send one to me to try out with my H&K Grand Meister Deluxe 40. Just spitballing here...
The pedal sounds great ! Looks great also ! How is the gain level controlled ? Through Vol 1 and Vol 2 ? Also , besides the boost gain trim, there are 3 more inside the pedal, what do they control ?
Hi and thank you for your kind words. In Mode19 (Plexi) Vol1 (treble channel) & Vol2 (bass channel) are in parallel, while in Mode22 (JCM800 & JMP) Vol1 is pre gain and Vol2 is body. The 3 blue internal trimmers are for biasing each stage of the circuit and we recommend NOT to adjust them.
Sounds killer. Great playing. However I sometimes wish when amp in a box pedals are reviewed they're done on on different style amps than the amps they're based on. In other words I'd like to hear how a Marshall in a Box pedsl sounds through a Fender which is what I assume how it would be used. In other words why would you buy a MIAB pedal if you own a Marshall. Grant I understand not all Marshall's are the same. Thanks for sharing regardless.

Hi Tim, Please check the video links below where the ROOM40 pedal is gong to a Fender /(ish) clean channel - th-cam.com/video/xYNkhiEYErk/w-d-xo.html (Fender Tweed Deluxe) - th-cam.com/video/57ZtWo8_WmQ/w-d-xo.html (Shure PT100 clean Fender-ish channel) Some more videos will also come soon with that configuration.
Just what we need, another $200+ dollar pedal that does what 1,000 other pedals are doing. You are hitting perhaps the very hardest market to even touch right now. I'm not seeing it. Certainly not for $200+...

The boost raises the gain level but a slight level boost will be noticed as well.
