  • This probably is the upload from San Francisco I'm most proud of.
Recology's green waste/food scraps program is very advanced, including dirty paper plates, cardboard, cartons, and almost every food waste product you can think of (see this link for more info: www.recologysf....
The truck's doing commercial collection in Chinatown around 6:00 PM, apparently trucks visit Chinatown 7 days a week around this time. There also were two other older Leach RLs in the video, didn't get any close shots of them though. Enjoy the video--and please rate/comment!

I love watching the Leachs handling the food and organic waste.... funny how all the Chinese shopkeepers come rushing out with boxes and all their waste. Looks like total madness down there in the early evening - terrible time to be sending the trucks through, but I guess it's the correct time too. Must get some serious tonnage on these trucks when they're full! Awesome footage! Also cool shot showing the three trucks in close proximity.

I like how busy the area is, makes for a very interesting vid. Great packing shots on a beautiful truck, a favorite.

Nothing like piles of compost at 6pm at night. That second RL down the street was most likely a back-up compost truck. The other few week, I pretty much passed through CT daily and the compost RLs alternated different streets. The one coming down the hill.. garbage. I'm surprised no Retriever in this vid. There's one that usually only does the side of the street leading to the tunnel and splits.

You SHOULD be VERY proud! Chinatown is VERY hard to film in... you did a great job! This is one of their newer Leaches. hehe, welcome to San Francisco :)

@tharealsteven Not really, The hoppers are always almost dry. I've seen them often. There's not really much time for this stuff to rot in the cans anyways since it's all so fresh and collection is daily.

Holy shit, do they actually sell any food in China Town or do they just throw it all away?! lol. That was a lot of compostables. Looks like mostly food to me. It's good that Norcal/Recology accepts so many different things for composting though, looks like there were hardly and garbage carts around there! Excellent filming work!

Awesome. Looks like the people of China Town brought a little tactic from China to America. Most countries in Asia have the people run out of their houses to dump the trash themselves. Nice work. Liked and Playlisted.

The one titled "Semi-Automation" I reached my Favorites limit a while ago so I ended up creating a bunch of playlists.

this is one of the most important ways of recycling and sould be nation wide but if we are still telling half the people in this country its a good idea to recycle we caqn just dream of this being nationwide

damn nice video! Tons of stuff to be collected they just keep coming out of the stores with more! LOL Slow process but there isnt any other option in this area. I bet those carts weigh a TON with all the food scraps in them. Bet they smell fantastic too......NOT lol

Would be nice to see all this raw trash recycling practiced through out the whole country, but with high cost & a complete lack of interest frm most residents or commercial businesses, it'll never happen!!!! & Yep, That's the Leach 2R3 with the standard FASTPAK feature!!! Surprized to see that 2R3 using the carrier/sweep plates frm the Alpha or Delta series Leach!!! But anyway, Great Footage & Thumbs Up!!!!!
