I was in Chengdu about 3 years ago on my way to Daocheng and Yading. This is a beautiful city with many interesting places to visit. As a 华侨 or overseas Chinese, I am so glad and happy to see China has developed at such an amazing speed. I used to travel to China to visit factories all the way from Shenzhen in the south to Dalien in the north. The growth of some of these factories I visited was truly remarkable. I am now retired, but I still travel to China to visit places outside the main cities to photograph the landscapes and the people in these regions. This is a very moving, uplifting song and I hope every Chinese, especially the younger generations will remember these words. The future of China is in your hands and in unity you can progress much further. Happy Chinese New Year from Singapore.

Developed Urban areas are by far larger in terms of land sizes or human population in China today, and there are about 100+ cities in China, fyi. Only a few minorities dwell in a countryside or under developed areas/region.😊

For your future maiden visit, I'll suggest you to visit Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan, plus Chengdu then Leishan and Emeishan... You'll have the impressive first trip then :-) I've been in China many times in different regions... Spring and Autumn are the best timing!
