Humans do and that's why Neanderthals are scared they will be extinct soon. Funny that because Ras Kass did mention it in a song in the 90s called Nature Of the Threat.

I’m actually an archaeologist there r a few things I wanna point out.
    1) Neanderthals mastered the use of fire so they don’t eat raw meat.
    2) we never had a live Neanderthal or a preserved Neanderthal brain to study so we know nth about the brains ability. It has a larger brain then ours due to the Neanderthal having a larger body mass. This doesn’t mean they are smarter, nor does it mean they r dumber.
    3) when we look at science, we should at least be less biased and have to acknowledge previous species might not have failed due to an inferior intelligence. Neanderthal’s extinction is still being widely debated, a popular theory is their poor birth rate, they live in small groups in the harsh cold European climate, not very ideal if u wanna populate.

@@biggdogg33Correct. Number of brain cells and connected neurons determines your brain ability. Your brain has more connective neurons inside more brain cells. We have no idea how many brain cells neanderthals have or connective neurons. So we don't know how smart they were. A larger brain doesn't mean more brain cells. We don't know really.

the part about the neadertahl just casually lifting 227kg I would say that's also wrong, cause even the people we have today who lift that weight( and even more...) need to train/adapt to lift that weight, but this being only possible do to the fact that today we have anabolic steroids. like the heaviest strong man are around 200kg, that's a lot of muscle mas lifting weights 300kg,400kg,500kg that a neaderthal had no way to adapt to lift, no progressive overload... and also in the video that was an incline bench not bench press. lol

The reality of the situation according to what I understand of current research these hybrid children weren't very healthy compared to non-hybrid children. Males likely resulted in still birth and there were likely several other issues potentially all Neanderthal DNA in Human populations comes from female Neanderthal ancestors no males. The Neanderthal population was likely doomed regardless from genetic conditions. Neanderthal genetics in early humans in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe was likely harmful generations after the first generation of hybrids entered the gene pool. Only a small amount of Neanderthal genes were useful and thus ended up continuing within human populations' gene pool over time.

Funny story is that Neanderthals had larger brains, and were significantly stronger than us. In the modern world, they would out-perform in every aspect of modern function. Keep in mind, though. There is a reason why they did not develop the advanced tools we did.
Imagine for a moment you are as strong as you are now, and need to crush a plastic water bottle. One of the cheap ones. Obviously, this is a difficult task and you will not be able to complete it without coming up with some sort of complex tool to crush that water bottle, right? RIGHT?! Okay, not really. You are strong enough to crush that plastic water bottle with your bare hands, and the idea of using a tool to do it for you is a bit... strange.
The Neanderthal was in the same position as us, but stronger. The Neanderthal is known to have hunted massive animals with their bare hands and primitive tools. They were very close to animals in the sense that they were born with the ability to tear limbs off of deer with their fingers, and only need the bare minimum of tools for taking down the largest of wooly rhino and mammoth.
Weak humans need tools to make up for our lack of strength. Imagine a body builder. You think that is strong, right? now imagine double that. We have 300 pound muscle men, but imagine 600 pound muscle men. That is the same average weight as a modern North American Black bear.
The Neanderthal lacked the fangs and claws, but was essentially a Black bear. Also, Neanderthal DNA is still found in large parts of European and North Asian peoples. Also in North America. They inter-bred. The Neanderthal tribes picked up the advanced weapons, while the genetics and their strength passed on.

This is how a pug and a greyhound can look so incredibly different and still be the same species. PS I want to know what a Greypug Hound looks like now.

So you’re telling me the average Neanderthal was my little sister’s height.... kinda makes them way less intimidating.

Yo do relise that homosapians used to be way smaller than neanderthal’s. Have have grown a ton since our ancestors. We legit used to hang in groups of 30+ while Neanderthal’s used to be in groups of around 7.

I would have wished the comparison was between neanderthals and homosapiens living in the same age, to help better understand our true differences, because if they were still alive, their routine would likely be very similar to ours so.... I didn't really get the difference between them and cavemen
