ok but I gotta ask: how did you render the original video? EXR image sequence? what about the color space in blender?? standard, filmic, filmic log, agx???
It's actually just PNG which is more beginner friendly than an EXR workflow to davinci resolve. Also, most of the time PNG is good enough when contemplating work vs time load. I think it was the old filmic colorspace. AGX didn't exist during this video I believe, but I'm not sure.
Glare is native to compositing in Blender. Not sure if there's a pass for that. If there is you can use the boolean method in davinci resolve to connect all passes together. Make sure to use the reactor plugin for unfolding all passes easily. Hope this helps
Thanks mate! Sure, since this is a beginner video I used a Png format with a color depth of 16 (Agx). Easy and fast to export. (I know some people would like to see the exr workflow in fusion, but I'll touch on that later)
@@proceduralcoffee I disagree. The biggest factor is time vs visuals. People sometimes act as if PNG is the worst in the world, while almost all other artists use png, such as photoshoppers etc. I agree that EXR gives higher dynamic range and more flexibility in post, but the question is: do you always need a crane to lift a bucket? PS: Unless you work at a streamlined VFX company, nobody cares what workflow you used as long as it looks good. Spend your time wisely. Also, showing people what a program can do is not teaching bad habits, it gives you more power and freedom to achieve what you want.
Brand new to editing - I’ve gotten the fusion page down relatively well and want to lean into 3d effects- sorry for the ignorance but why learn blender if davincii can make 3d? (I know nothing about blender really and just started touching on 3d in fusion) thank you!
Awesome, well... It's kind of like choosing to ride a bicycle to China or taking an airplane. Or trying to make coffee with a teapot. You can do it, but the best method is to use a 3D program for 3D. Davinci lacks a lot of things such as simulations, geometry nodes and a whole lot more. On the other hand, you can edit in Blender, but I definitely would recommend using Davinci instead. Hope this is clear
First of all: Color grading in Davinci Resolve reigns supreme. Try achieving the same results with lumetri color in AE or PP. No way josé... Secondly: Everything is in one place. I don't have to open premiere, create a link to after effects and open that as well. Then go back to audition to change my sound. In Davinci I just switch the tabs. My after effects is fusion, my audition is fairlight and it's all in the same program. Finally: Price. Adobe is subscription based, while Davinci resolve can be used for free. If you want to use the studio version of Davinci it only costs you 200 dollars once to get the program for the rest of your life. Source: used all of the above softwares PS: they should sponsor me for saying this :p
@@ReneTheuns Blenderender is doing a great job with these videos and his points why to choose davinci resolve is absolutely reasonable. It is a great peace of software..a real power horse...and blackmagics philosophy suits to the philosphy of blender users, so it is an inevitable logical decision.
Have you already downloaded Davinci Resolve? If not, why not?
I tried to go along with your tutorial and of course my free version of DaVinci resolve has limitations but I could do what I wanted to thanks to you!
I did it before.
tried this for myself and its crazy how a little tweaking of the colors can make the render 100 times better, thanks for the video
Without this I wouldn't even render at all 👑
This is way better than doing it in photoshop. I use Resolve for video editing & grading already.
True davinci resolve is king, although i do like the auto-selection tool in photoshop
Omg ,this is great just what i Need, thank you so much keep up the great work. Love you XD
Haha love you too mate🔥❤️
Subscribed coz u use same programs as me, Blender and Da Vinci. Can not wait for new tutorials. Thanks for sharring.
Awesome, I'll see you around♥️
wow i ve been thinking that Davinci is difficult software but this tutorial made me to understand it thanks alot brother
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yea bro it's not as hard as people think. Fusion maybe is, but every other tab is quite easy. Thanks brooo❤️❤️❤️
Are you using linear 32bit exr workflow? Or are you gading a png?
loved the video and after grading result 😍
Great♥️
You soo underrated bruh ❤️
Thanks brother❤️👑
Thank you man for this,I really don't know about that saturation method,I will really gonna try it out
Yeah bro davinci rulez. Btw nice new pf bro🔥
@@theblenderender thanks bro 😊
Ce tuto est super 👍 Merci beaucoup 😊
Thanks sir! De rien😎
Great video would love to see more of this DaVinci video bro 🧡🧡
Yea man I've got a couple of em, but main focus will remain Blender⚡🔥
@@theblenderender sure DaVinci as in post processing in DaVinci after renders like this one
Yeah, Davinchi color grading is topmost hands down))
But it would be great to see a tutorial on how to achieve similar result in Blender Compositor!
Agreed. I can look into it
@@theblenderender Nice to hear! Unfortunately there are not so many tutorials on Blender Compositor on youtube.

Thank you for this tutorial bro,
are you using EXR or PNG?
You're welcome bro. Png it is
This was fantastic. I know it's been asked, but can you do one for EXR :) Love it. Instant sub.
Thanks mate! Much appreciated and since so many want to know about EXR i'll make a video on it
I'm working on my color grading, i would love to see it too !
Hi, what if I have a glare effect on davinci and i'm rendering single passes? how I render the glare?
Glare is native to compositing in Blender. Not sure if there's a pass for that. If there is you can use the boolean method in davinci resolve to connect all passes together. Make sure to use the reactor plugin for unfolding all passes easily. Hope this helps

@@theblenderender great, thx for the reply, wouls also love a exr workflow . Cheers !
Yea mate no problem🔥. Could do that in the future, but I don't think a lot of people are interested in it which is why I keep postponing it ;p
@@theblenderenderFirst of all thank you a lot a for that great video! An exr workflow video with different render passes would be great!
