You were 9 laps clear when I got up for work mate - then by the time I got to work and checked in again this had happened. Gutted for you - you'd have wiped the floor with the rest of them - again!
What's the British rules on engine modifications? It definitely sounds like you're running past the stock governed speed(although I do hear it bouncing off the governor on those long straights). I know that getting the same parts that we have available in the US is expensive or impossible( i.e cams, billet aluminum flywheel and or connecting rod) The USLMRA dictates anything with the governor removed mandates the billet flywheel for safety reasons. I take it engine mods are very limited if any to keep costs down? With the long duration endurance style racing you guys do over there, I would think either keeping the stock rpm or having upgraded internals would be more beneficial for the life of the engine.
Engines are dyno tested and only approved engines allowed to keep level playing field. Only mods we do are removal of the governor and some engines can run a straight through exhaust, valve springs are weak so they limit revs to 5000ish. Any other engine mods are banned to keep costs down.
@@rozza64You have me wondering now how a US spec Governed Prepared mower would run against a British mower. I even talked with a guy here stateside that was invited across the pond to compete in one of your guys' races. Man, 45 minutes on one, sounds like it'll take a lot out of ya! You guys do teardowns to inspect your engines for significant wear between races to prevent a potential motor catastrophe?
@@rozza64 hi just wondering if this is still running this year at the same place would a Westwood lazar be aloud thanks as I live locally and thinking of coming for abit of fun lol
@@rocketmangaming618 No 12hr race this year, have a look on blmra.co.uk for updates on their calendar. Before you start building contact them, join the facebook page attend a meeting to have a closer look at what's involved. Also have a look at facebook.com/westwoodracingmower/

Does it have gears of is it straight of the engine to the back wheels?
Most likely a direct drive to the rear wheels.
