Tbh, all these speculations are correct. Girago is a giraffe, a Qilin, and a dragon. (Mostly a Qilin, since it can be interpreted as a combination of a giraffe and a dragon)
When the term "Qilin" is pronounced in Japanese, it is キリン(Kirin), which means "giraffe".
Another thing that lead to speculation as to why people regarded Girago as a dragon is because Girago is a wordplay, combining the words "Giraffe" and "Dragon" (which also proves Girago is also a Qilin). When you say "Girago" with a "J", it sounds like "Jirago" which sounds like "Drago."
In short, the term "Girago" is an amalgamation of English, Japanese and Chinese references turned into a Beyblade name

I remember that i though that this beyblade was the evolution of rock giraffe, and if i remember correctly his combo was same of the thermal lacerta's combo so it just makes me think that. And as you said he maybe is a Qilin and Rock Giraffe is based on the Qilin since the chinese imagined that that's how a giraffe looked like.
Small clarification, but Wyvang is is the one representing the Azure Dragon. Its owner (Captain Arrow) not only resembles Tyson/Takao without his hat, but the bey also uses wind based abilities.
The spirit is even a blue dragon, while Dragooon is clearly a black and red one. I dunno who mixed that up on the wiki. Strange they didn't make Wyvang left spin to solidify it though.
The weird names for the Japanese version of the beys is probably because they don’t have characters for certain sounds saramanda(サラマンダー) is just the way salamander is spelled since there aren’t any single consonants apart from ん(n) and r and l are the same.
20:36 I noticed that when I first watched zero g as a kid, I could recognize the main four of them, but there was no way I would ever draw a connection between zirago and strata dragoon
but if zirago is based on a giraffe but isnt zurafa the same problem since zurafa is based on the giraffe constellation
It's neither it is a qilin a type of Chinese dragon. It can be pictured having tiger paws instead of hooves some cases.
The only thing we can do is ask the creator/author of Zero-G

I would think theif Phoenix is Dranzer based on its battle with Genbu, which serves as an omage to the battle of Draciel vs Dranzer.
Zirago is based off the Kirin, which is not a unicorn. It is its own mythical creature

A Chinese emperor imported a giraffe and mistook it for the mythical Qilin. A qilin is a dragon horse/cat/deer hybrid. In Korean, Japanese and Chinese, kirin means giraffe
Technically, all 3 theories are correct.
Theory 3 is a bit iffy as the 5th cardinal spirit is the midsummer dragon.

In the Eastern country nowadays, the Qilin and the Yellow Dragon's image was fused to one.
When a people say the beast in the center, most of Orient people will have an yellow Qilin's image in the mind.
and a Chinese emperor name the giraffe "Qilin", thats the reason of why they called a Beyblade based in Qilin but named Giraffe.
the ZeroG series have their own ideas, the Five Saint Beast Beyblade were not just based in Original Chinese Legend(like the Garudas), they change the image but very close to the Original image.
in Original Legend, genbu/XuanWu it's black and have snake head tail.
Fenghuang is a red bird, but a writer fuse the image of the Phoenix, and that also change the mind of the people nowadays.
the Dragon in East it's Blue/Green, the 青 means Blue or Green.(not just blue.)

Hi, I recently finished the zero-g series in French, and once in the show, Girago is litteraly called a kirin ! I didn't see the show in english and I dont speak japanese, so I dont realy now if this is specific to the french version.

This is an interesting video another one that never made sense for me and still to this day despite all the resources I can find is Ray Gil 100 RSF. I remember seeing its form and it was like this dinosaur skeleton, but from what I got from what it is really based off is that it is really the Constellation Carina, when I looked that up it was just Ships but nothing about dinosaurs even it's special move in the anime is called Keel Strangler and it is a dinosaur just causing havoc like Ray Gil makes little to no sense for me in the anime despite all the resources I can find 😂
I think Ray gil is based off of greek mythology Cetus but the the sea serpent version
