Pyxis Ocean - Sail Powered Cargo Ship Shows Potential of Wind

Pyxis Ocean is a Kamsarmax vessel fitted with two giant rigid sails known as WindWings designed by BAR Technologies. Carrier successfully completed the first six month ocean voyage and the wind sails has lived up to expectations saving an average of 3 tonnes of fuel per day over the course of trial which equates to a 14% reduction in emissions.

Excellent. Very Innovative and creative company. Many such ships can easily install wind wings on board and start saving daily fuel costs thus also, reducing engine usage for power generation.👌😊😊
