Lost $20,000- made me destitute and depressed and all the signs in and around the bars saying "gambling is addictive" and "gamble responsibly" did not affect me. Yet the moment i read the verse in the Qur'an that stated "O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, stone alters, and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful."

Being non muslim my dream was to be a singer. My family and friends was encouraging me to continue practicing singing, I've got a microphone 🎤 as a gift, to continue making videos with me singing, I was feeling good being seen by people, I thought that this is what will make me happy. But it didn't, cause I was loosing days and sometimes even nights, I was focused only on music, and lyrics started to slowly making me depressed , I was feeling lonely, my life my purpose was all about music. But i realized that is not what happiness is, I wanted to feel peaceful, but I couldn't find that feeling in music. Then I found Islam. I stopped singing, told everyone that it makes me depressed. I started reading the Qur'an, and listen to the recitations before sleeping and that is how I started to feel peaceful. It's been 2 years since I became a Muslim. From that day, my life changed. I'm happy Al hamdu lilah 😊
Edit : I'm still happy but music came back into my life, happy music. I have actually stopped music because I was told it is forbidden in islam. Listening to recitations it did calmed me, but still not understanding a word of it, made me kinda anxious.. but what to do, the rule is not to understand the Quran but only to memorize it.. now I'm studying it, I'm done following people. Allah want me to seek for knowledge and understand the Message. Peace to all. God willing, He will guide you too, all you have to do is listen 👂 in language you understand . He speaks to you whenever you Read the QUR'AN

Very good Video done perfectly, I'm a Muslim and growing up, I was a DJ in my young teenage days, Used to go to birthdays and parties, until I realised that all I was doing was sin after sin, girl after party after all haram! But Hamdulliah it's been now 3 months I stopped my Dj and music and slowly going back to my deen, back to islam!

I watched TalkIslam's previous videos and i gotta say, i agree with what he says, kinda. I always listened to music like kpop and pop and whenever i do, its always on full volume in my headphones. i would walk like i was in a trance because i was busy visualising the music videos. This was ongoing for a few years, where i would get excited to journey home, only because i listened to music and be alone. my habit got so bad that i would listen to songs without realising that my parents were shouting my name lol. Once i was so tranced and so far from reality that i almost walked into an oncoming car. I also got my ears checked regularly cause i can't hear as well anymore. maybe because im stupid lol. but hey im doing it for my health too. After watching your videos, i suddenly lost all interest in all pop songs. like im not even tempted to listen anymore. i just scroll past it, sometimes even before i even knew it was the new single of the band i liked. now i even stopped listening to nasyeeds with instruments. all vocal. :) thanks talkislam. :)

Even after being born in a Muslim family my Islam practice stopped around my teenage when party and night out and drifts inside car with loud music just filled my heart with unwanted debris. I’m glad now after spiritual awakening I’m back being a practicing Muslim. Having a peaceful life by praying and hopefully satisfying Allah. Gave up music and inshallah I will give up everything else that will stop me from entering Zannat . 🦋

I played guitar for almost 6 years and tbh I used to feel proud about it. Even before this quarantine I was a hardcore musician and I've always adored music. But Alhamdulillah this quarantine gave me a lot more time to think about my purpose here and I researched about the origin of music and what our religion states about it. The funny thing is I knew all along that music is HARAM even though I didn’t care and kept doing it anyway. The answer was right under my nose the whole time and I was tricked by Satan. I got distracted whenever I prayed and My life was a total mess. Finally I decided to get rid of music for good. :) Now Iam 21 and I even barely listen to music now-a-days.Rather, I listen to the recitation of Quran and it fills my heart with satisfaction everytime. I'm also trying to keep away from bad habits like backbiting,bad temper etc as much as possible. Its all by the grace of Allah S.W.T that he has helped me to see the light and guided me. I'm so much happier now Alhamdulillah! Keep me in your prayers. May Allah bless us all.♥
One more thing, if you are also struggling to give up music and you don't know what to do. I suggest you just do some research by yourself and I guarantee it'll automatically emerge hatred in you towards music. Just put your faith in Allah and YOU CAN DO IT. Thankyou and I love you all.♥

I use to be a club promoter in the country i live in. Born muslim and brought up in a muslim environment. I feel i was at the top and one day it start crumbling down. I fall sick one day and for months i was unable to live my life. It was at one point i was afraid of living my house. I kept thinking what i have done wrong. I realize i forget my religion, immediately i do my shalat and beg forgiveness from Allah. Alhamdullilah i'm getting better and feel so close to islam now. Everyday i seek forgiveness for what i done for the past few years. I'm looking forward to embrace Islam for the rest of my life.
