When you opened the box and I saw the 1/100 HG Wing Zero Custom an audible, "Oh my god." came out of my mouth. I am VERY jealous of you for getting your hands on one of those. I was a child growing up when those were common in stores, and am making it a point to try to reacquire them now. Seeing you get one has made me incredibly jealous of you.
Always a pure pleasure on seeing your new videos. After all these years, I had no idea that majority of Bandai products are snap since my high tech friends collect these things. I am a traditional model builder who has been out of touch due to business and family. Wife is on my case to liquidate my childhood desires when I too was in the high tech realm of business. It would be quite amazing to win the Gundam MK-II. I am definitely learning a lot from your videos since I have the original Aztek airbrush that I never got around too. Hope to do it soon once life gets simplier.

You are extremely informative and thorough, and I've already picked up plenty of knowledge that I will apply to my kits going forward. I'm not quite ready to go full custom, but when I am, your videos will have helped me get there. Also, I'm sorry to hear that you lost a lot of your past collection, but I am really happy to hear that you're getting it back and excited to hopefully see you build them up!
Cool! I remember seeing that mobile suit with the gun arms back in the 80's. I had a catalog that was in Japanese, filled with all kinds of mobile suits and ships, but I had no way of ordering them or even a hobby store that carried anything like them. I did pick up a vintage 1/1000 scale Arcadia kit from Bandai a few years ago that I plan on building with lights and do a weathered paint job on. There's a lot of great vintage space ship kits out there and I think it would be fun to build some and hang them from the ceiling.
I never really paid any attention to the Gundam stuff until I started watching your videos and talking to and making friends on your Patreon. Some of these are actually pretty cool looking, I may start looking at these kits more. I like that Mk2 and starblazer ship.
Get one! I'm 53 with a 4 year old son - I took our boy to the hobby shop and he picked out a Gundam. I had never built one but gave it a try. These are amazing kits. The engineering is really impressive. They are fun to build!
I love the monotone packaging a lot of those kits have. I'm about to paint my first kit- a HG Aerial from recent series- and your videos have been a huge help in finding products that work for me.

I loved star blazers I grew up in Boston in the 80s so I got to watch star Blazers when it first came out in the 80s in English and men I ran home every day and I missed like the first 10 minutes because it played right when I got out of school and it took me 10 minutes to run home so like I never got to see the first 10 minutes of most episodes but thankfully they change the next year or two years later whatever they were doing a repeat so I thought I got to see how the episode started. Thanks for taking the time to share your new kits with us. I do have a couple of questions if you have time to answer. First, would you be able to recommend a very simple low parts count Gundam kit for a kid that is eight or nine years old and has never built one? Second question is do you know of a humanoid type robot kit that is very simple without all of the armor and weapons? I'm thinking more along the lines of maybe just a skeleton of a kit or something like that. Thanks in advance.
For the 8 year old you want a Bandai Entry Level kit. I have several here, if you can't find one locally I can send you one. For a skeletal type I recommend a Bandai 30 Minute Mission kit. They might be just what you're looking for
if you have a hobby lobby near you they have beginner gundam kits and up Ive seen MG's at mine! lately they had 40% off boxed models so I got 2 cheap ones haha
@@Hughie1987 A Hobby Lobby near me that I went to around Jan had a paltry selection of Gundam kits and tools for plastic model kits. I had better luck with Hobby Town USA which had a vast selection plus tools and supplies.
I got some RG Kits last week. Got a Tallgeese EW, Wing Zero EW, X1 Crossbone and a Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina. Also have ordered Full Mechanics Raider and a Full Mechanics Calamity Gundam kits. Also have a couple different HG Barbatos coming with them, but I still have a MG Barbatos I have to build in my backlog. I really like the Wing and wing zero Gundam's. Probably cause the first time I've ever watch Gundam was Gundam Wing.
Your filter isn't fully inserted into your booth. I too have a Pace spray booth and the same thing happened with mine, and I didn't notice right away. Easily fixed but letting overspray get into your blower can obviously cause problems if left unchecked. And yeah, I sure do remember Star Blazers and the WAVE MOTION GUN!
I've got the Gundiver. It's a marvelous little kit. I'm giving it LEDs, a HWS (that I can put on and take off) and building a diorama for it. Would be cool if they gave an rg or mg even.

@@Hughie1987 I moved around a bit in the last 25 years. It happened during a move and an accident in those years. I started rebuilding my stash with the intent of building by now. Then my dad passed while I was house shopping. So I had my mom come live with my wife and I. I ended up with a nice house with a finished basement where i set up what you see now. The channel ended up taking off so to speak so I've decided to devote time building the channel up which in turn takes time away from building because I also work a day job. When or if the channel hits 100K subs I'll go full time here and get a proper set up for more in depth videos including builds. Sorry for such a long reply but that's the long story short

The Zero Gravity Judge is an amazing kit, and that other Chinese kit you couldn't recall the name of is the Soul Vogue Fire Shadow and is believed to be the same company as Zero Gravity under a different name
At some point I will get around to panel lining my neon eco barbatos with your neon blue panel lining liquid, but life keeps getting in the way. Plus after that I'll need to sit down and do the p-pandai PG unicorn final battler ver I have standing by, which will be another whole ordeal.
Not all of the Gundam Base kits are blue, but they seem to have a blue color theme or clear colors for all of their exclusives and once in a while metallic finishes. I don’t think that that one kit was a Transformer but if it were it kind of looks like Star Saber/Victory Saber. Unless it’s a stylized take on the character? I’m just guessing. Is this your experience with a lot of these exclusives?

Are you the type that sends back kits because damaged box or you don't care as long as everything is good? I personally never really care about boxes but alot of people hate it
I keep them. As long as the kit is fine. But the point is if they don't care enough to pack them right it only takes another half inch and the kit will be damaged

Hey my friend , so the green stuff world airbrushes are on their way I'll let you know when I have them and you can let me know if you want to review them.......also I found another company with the gaahleri nozzle in it called auto lock......I just got that one I'm trying it out tonight .........don't take that the wrong way gaahleri is fantastic I have most of them and the air compressor so I love them , just interested in this auto lock as it was only $29 bucks
Hey so that auto lock has the same nozzle as gaahleri , but doesn't have the PTFE ring on the end and this auto lock airbrush is straight garbage ........lol.......o well .......
The Wing Gundam Zero reminded me I have to really get my ass in gear, and get the paints I need to practice airbrush work on my old HG models. That and I just picked up a PGEX RX-78 and PG Red Frame.... and RG RX-92..... I need help
Such a shame about the Sandrock Custom. Daban kits have come a long way since the Sandrock Custom, keep an eye out for the wrist joints, they often aren't molded correctly so one of the hands will not hold a shortel very well. I order my Daban kits from Gundam Model Center, they always put those hard plastic corner bits on every corner of the model kits I buy, and I've had no issues getting kits in from them recently. If you haven't tried them I would recommend it, I've been using them for a few years now and haven't had any issues yet.

My co-worker and I both build cars, boats, planes and tanks. He has ordered a set of their paints. I've never really tried anything but enamels and lacquers. Another great video! I have thought about building a kit like these just for something different, but they seem expensive. But were close to the same age, so im sure you know where im coming from. When I started building kits I could ask my dad for $5 and go to the dime store, pick up a muscle car, can of testors enamel paint, tube of glue and a bottle of Mt. Dew. Times have changed since the Johan days

The one in 21:00 mark is the blaze flying shadow. I couldnt find the one with the metal frame and just settled for the all plastic one.

Johan kits sell for hundreds now. I'm not a fan at all of those types of acrylic paints at all. They are sending me a spray booth for Testing
