    Awesome!! 🙌 The only problem with this... is that I couldn't try a piece of the Matza through the phone screen! 😅 😋 if only!!! Haha that was cool though, looks like some hard work!

      This kind of matzah is only sold in stores before Passover, starting immediately after Purim. Due to its specialty, 18 minute round matzos generally sell for $20-40/lb. Each pound is approximately 6 matzos.

    Matzah is one of those things you love to hate but end up missing with Passover is finished and you no longer have it around.

    I been going around in circles crazy trying to know what flour to use that not leavened. Others say can't use wheat or oats etc. I'm like so what then lol. But you explain that it is timing when water enter flour and cooking time. What a relief. So much misinformation out there and im new to passover and week of unleavened bread this year ,so thank you for getting to the point and understanding

    We Gojim, in the Netherlands, eat Matzes at Easter (with butter and sugar). This documentary about the Hollandia factory is also very interesting. And sad too. It was started in 1931, as a Jewish company. Most of the personnel was Jewish until 1941.... In 2004 the owner sold the factory to a non Jewish man with permission of the rabbinate and the company is still under rabbinic watch, 6 weeks a year.
    this is the video, it is in Dutch but you probably can understand. vimeo.com/12175723

      and by the Torah we are not allowed to eat any kind of bread besides matza for one week, once a year, in passover. in order to memorize the exodus. i hope that the next time we will have salvation they will bake baguettes and eat steaks:)

    Don't take this comment negatively but I believe a manager of a matzah baking place should know the history of matzah. And as far as I know Moses and other jews ate this kind of bread while they were leaving Egypt. And this took place around 3300 years ago. True, it doesn't mean this bread was made differently 2000 years ago, It's just questionable why did he say 2000 instead of 3300.

    Thanks for the video. (sorry to sound negative, not trying to be) Even though it was said in the video and many believe soo, but its not actually 18 minutes from start to finish. When your kneading the dough the time stops (or should stop). Today they do it like this though. Also this Matza isn't like the original one. Matza was (and in some communities still is) more thicker.

    • @jill7409
      @jill7409 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      They do not stop the timer when kneading or at any other point,

    • @szs770
      @szs770 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@jill7409 he is referring to the halacha.
      Halachakly while kneading it does not continue to rise.
      But the reason that they do not stop the clock is because there are still parts of dough not being kneaded. Impossible to stop clock from some but not others.

    They are all burnt. Where could you possibly come up with 18 minutes? Do you think Moshe was timing us when we left Mitsrayim?
    I love that you keep pesah but you of the orthodox have just made so many odd rulings that everything is a burden on your peoples. Everything is supposed to be a joy, we should celebrate as Joshua/Yehoshua did when we hit the promised land. We, the people of Isra'el, the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are responsible only for Deuteronomy, the book Moses wrote down for us, the Laws and regulations that GOD said keep us clean. Deuteronomy said as Jeremiah 31 tells us, we will wake up dispersed among the Gentiles not knowing who we are but we will wake up and want to obey GOD ,to take up the commandments and begin to make the journey home to our FATHER in heaven, the Eternal One. I am awake and I obey the PURE law as Moses taught. Before anything was added, before any other books were written, ad the prophets all taught. Just obey GOD alone, no other
    Jeremiah chapter 7 shows is that the pen writes much for not. Man made writings are not needed.
    When we choose absolute dedication to GOD and we make it past the tests like Iyov/Job we will have the law embedded into our hearts with the spirit of GOD, rather than the Satan.
    I see Judah telling the lost Isra'elites to become Noachides but they are mostly lost Isra'elites, Judahs family
    We must not teach them not to obey GOD. Judahs rabbis are teaching people they can not obey GOD, which is an abomination and a lie.
    Peace
    From Jason Lane
