Back in the day, I remember when Canadian National (CN)bought the Grand Trunk Western (GT)Railroad. I also remember the Soo Line and Wisconsin Central Railroads in Michigan's Upper Pennsula. P.S., I live in Detroit, Michigan.
i guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the password. I love any help you can offer me
Awesome video! I recently received a railroad hat for WC from an employee who now works for CN and wanted to see what I could find on TH-cam about this railroad. It’s too bad CN bought them out.
I wonder how Ed Burkhardt is doing nowadays. I recently visited His once owned Railway Company in Estonia, which is now currently Operail and I got to tour the shops there. If it wasn't for Ed bringing the Ex-UP GE's to Estonia, the railway company there would have lost alot of money on maintanance of rolling stock. In general he led to the privatisation of the Estonian Railways. While the tour the Estonian guys kept mentioning Ed. They still ask about him to this day. Hope he's doing alright! God Bless You Edward!
Too bad CN destroyed it all and people like hunter Harrison tore it all down favoring instead screwing the employees and the customers CN felt threatened by WC and many other successful railroads but they won't get KCS
Burkhardt would not, so he was ousted from the company he created by the board of directors. CN merger was the worst thing to ever happen to WC, although they are FINALLY selling branchlines tjry never wanted! WC 2.0 is coming back. HA! 💪☝️
@@jeremyamundsen537 any idea as to a timeframe of sales? It would be AWSOME to see the E&LS purchase the Manistique sub or to see investors reform the WC

Do you know if they ever finished it? I searched through every mid to late 1993 to early 1994 issue from "Trains Magazine" & "Railfan & Railroad" but found nothing.
I actually do remember that. But considering how long ago that was, I honestly do not know. I always tell people I am only good to remember the last two weeks....
Yeah, 1997 was a time when Wisconsin used to be a Conservative state in terms of The Governorships there, bcuz back then during the late 80s and all 90s was basically a time when Tommy Thompson was still Governor of the state til Thompson resigned in 2001
Hey my grandfather was CFO. Cool to hear him shouted out
Was that TFP?

@@cdavid8139 I did. Im extremely fortunate to have heard some of his stories/experiences
The worst part of the memory of the WC is that the people who were born in the CN era, now think they know how th WC REALLY was.

Oh...
23 years too late....
Amazing Video!
Too bad this company grew so successful that the CN had to ruin it.

Yep... WC could've been the top best railroad in Wisconsin. CN is decent, but they suck for ruining the WC. 🤦♂️
How did you acquire this video?
I was a WC employee and we all received a copy
