- I had to do another order from Hobonichi to get the A5 Hon and the Cafe au Lait A6 cover that I really wanted. Hope you enjoy my unboxing!

Thanks for sharing. I also placed a second order and got similar things, the cafe au lait zip cover and the liberty hon but in a6. I used the a6 hon this year and I liked it. For next year, at first I got the original and couple of covers that I liked and than I saw people's unboxing, saw the liberty cover, and saw that the cafe au lait fits the hon, a tight fit but it fits, so I just went for it, to have a cover for my hon when I'm traveling since mine did get a bit damaged in my bag. Now, I'm trying to figure out if I want to use the original or hon for my daily journal. I think the original lays flat better and is nicer to journal, but the hon is nice to archive, and if I stick with it, its probably less wasteful because the covers aren't as tempting.
This is great insight! I agree it makes sense with the HON. I love that it can fit in the cafe au lait too! I now wonder if I should have gotten A6 Avec for my memory planning instead. The A6 HON must look so cute in Cafe au Lait cover!

I posted a video with a paper test a little while back. I have the Weeks 2025 and it’s not amazing for fountain pens. There’s times stamps if you want to quickly check it out. I think I am fully enabled by you for that cafe au lait case tho 😂 I want it now…
I did see your video. It’s what made me realize some of the changes in the paper for 2025! I’ll just keep to my gel pens in my weeks. The cafe au lait cover was so worth it! Great quality and it’s totally my style. I see myself using it for years to come. You will love it! 🥰

My package got stuck too because of those dang refills! It's so bizarre because last year I ordered them with no problem! It left Japan on a Friday and was at my door in NY on Monday... only a couple days! This year it was stuck for a week until I sent that TSCA document to Fedex. Hobonichi really should put a disclaimer on that item that we should potentially expect delays and we're required to sign the TSCA document. It's ok, no biggie, but we want our packages asap, hahahaa!! Am I going to place a second order? Yes. Without refills of course. HA!!!
This was the first time I ordered refills so I am glad I wasn't the only one! I had to fill out the Fed EX document too. That was annoying. I agree they should put a disclaimer. What's weird is we get the free jetstream pen that has 3 of these same ink refills so I'm not sure what's up with that! Definitely never ordering these refills either! Glad you got your box finally and looking forward to seeing what you get for your 2nd order!
Me too! I had three refills for all three inks and the exact same Liberty Hon 5 planner and I had to fill out some FedEx docs too. I didn't experience that with the first 2 orders I had so I actually considered cancelling that third order bexause of that. I was worried. Anyway, it arrived eventually.
HON COVER = Definitely use the Hon clear cover
