I can read minds, when Lachlan got the submission he thought to himself: "I'm gonna sell a lot of DVD's now..."

If Kaynan kept his grip on both of Lachies ankles Lachie wouldn't have been able to finish this right? It looks like Lachie went to apply the pressure while Kaynan was controlling both ankles and in doing that it scared Kaynan enough to react and release his right hand grip, this allow Lachie to pummel his leg inside and get actual breaking pressure. Is this correct?

Lachlan established a very strong grip on the heel so that Kaynan can no longer hide it and turn his knee to then free the knee line, Kaynan could try and hold on to Lachlan's left foot (as once this comes back into inside position the breaking pressure is applied) but it's very difficult to hold on to someone's foot with one hand in no gi.

Its videos like this that make me wish Australia had more Judo and Wrestling gyms because this shit irl takes way too long to be effective

@@davidinawe791 you CANT get into these positions in the first place in judo and wrestling
And anyway, the point is, Lachlan wouldn't be there long against anyone who isn't world class

So at a glance you made this comment around the ADCC/CJI weekend. That means you heard about the hype, possibly watched some matches, then saw other BJJ videos on your feed. You know nothing about the sport and think leg locks are lame. Kaynan won in 2019, 2022, and 2024 with a win in open weight absolutes in 2024 as well. If leg locking worked against him because it was some uber powerful but lame 'cheap move' then he'd have been leglocked out of every tournament.
That's not true, Lachlan specifically mastered it to the extent he could use it even on Kaynan.
