This is like the next level Nemesis System, which is exactly what I've always wanted from Watch Dogs, every action you take can be logged into the database and used to craft an NPC, which makes every play through truly unique.
I think if there is another after Legion, there will be something ontop of that system, each WD's game seems to build more into the CTos/Hacking system to build up the layers involved.
Its legit amazing, watch dogs one was trying to bring driver san fran and hacking together, watch dogs two improved that concepts but improved tried to add npcs as a core concept, then legons improve upon that and adds roge/permadeath. Like its a lovely evolution to look at
The Nemesis in thingy of Mordor? Which was supposed to replace a proper story? And very, VERY badly didn't? It felt like the generic, randomly generated repetition that it was. Assassin's Creed's mercenaries were even worse. Not great advertising. It's indeed my greatest concern with WDL. I've done this walk! Admittedly, with a lot less neck snapping, but I've walked this walk! Hell, I did it right before meeting you, Dan, at the London booktour!
It saves all the character relations. Which on the one hand means you can help the friends of relatives of a person you want to recruit. On the other hand you can terrorize them by sending their friends to the hospital if you don't like them...truly next gen
The problem is that while the system may be Nemesis on a total scale, the Nemesis system also benefited from really charming Orcs, which Ubisoft isn't capable of matching. The end result is less personal and more "huh, neat" when a few variables intersect followed by a single bonk in the head and moving onward to doing something else.
