What I loved about this, was the fact that this tribute video didn't have a single basketball highlight and it still truly showed just how valuable Dame was to this team and franchise.
Underrated tribute
It was a 2 part video, the other one is his basketball highlights with Portland.
truee
this was boring. some highlights would've been better tbh
@@derekw1267 bait used to be believable
I like how they didnt show his fancy highlights but his impact on the city of portland and trail Blazers fans!
It was a 2 part video, the other one is his basketball highlights with Portland.
I like how when he requested to go to Miami they didn't even pick up the phone to call the Heat.
@@SimonLYW yea super classy org, so much so Dame admitted to havent even speaking a word to joe cronin since the whole situation lol... as a fan of basketball though just happy he got out of there
fr that was an amazing tribute video
@@samuelacosta4291 eh id be with you if Dame gave em a list of more than a single team. the org also has a trade to make, giving them one choice was a bit of an unrealistic ask, especially considering the bucks package was better. everyone agrees the bucks package was better except for Miami fans lol
at least blazers fans understand that this man really tried to make it work for their franchise but the owners weren't chasing no chip.
Exactly he was appreciated and gave it all, Portland miss him but they understand it was time to rebuild/restart.
It was the GM Neil Olshey. Also our owner who was trying for a chip died and we were never the same since
Nobody wanted to come to Portland
@CashMoolah00 Portland wanted to rebuild? They think they can do better? Man, they had one of the best of all time and they should have built around him.
blazersfans arepoozies
Dame give everything to this organisation, nothing but respect for this man and if he wins a ring it will be legendary
He done his job. So he deserves at least one.

I love this. Portland did Lillard right with this.
was the first time they did
@@p00lboykinda trash by the fans right. Shoulda gave him Toronto type ovation for what he did
@@erniejohnson677 very much so

He'll still be known as a traitor tho
He really gave all he could, It was just his time to move on. Its great to see that he still has Rip city in his heart. This guy will always be home in Portland, you're welcome any time Dame
From Oakland to Portland. Dame has done so much on and off the court. I know plenty of people don't think he deserved TOP 75. But it's so much more than ball, he is the embodiment of what it means to be a baller.
That was emotional 🥲 and special for that man.
Loyalty and love wins people over 🙏🏼🔥
IMO that’s what being a top professional athlete is about. Ofc we want our favorite players/teams to win, but when you’re able to touch peoples lives in the community, nothing really beats that. In this day and age where players are all about themselves, it’s refreshing to see a star like Dame.
I love how the thumbnail for this video makes it look like he was crying, but he's really just wiping sweat off his brow. That being said, Portland a truly classy city. Those were the correct things to show how a man impacted your city in positive ways; plenty of hoopers can have amazing moments, but the way he touched the lives in that place is gonna have ripple effects that last for a long, long time.
Ikr that’s why I clicked on the video lol the clickbait got me

Beautiful tribute.. some things are bigger than basketball and I love how they didn't show his basketball highlights but his impact on the ppl
How can you not love Dame
West coast dame, u already know
He'll be back
North West
Dame was, is, and always will be the heart and soul of Rip City.
We love you dame portland legend
that made me tear up. love the tribute vid of all off the court stuff he did ...being someone off the court
I'm in the video shaking him up at 0:16 seconds. Did me dirty cropping me out 😭 im kidding, im not salty, im blessed and thankful to have spoken to Dame.
Cool!
Blazers legend, Damian Lillard
Dame is an awesome basketball player and an even awesome human being. You can criticize him for his play (based on society’s own lofty standards) but you can’t say anything about the person that he is.
He has done more for Portland than any other player that came to play there.
he's great but people can absolutely criticize the way he moved. you dont ask for a trade and give your org a list of 1 team, then say you won't play for any other team lmao. that's unrealistic and disrespectful to the org, they have a trade to make too
@@_WeDontKnow_To be honest, I would agree, if the org itself didn’t treat him like they did for many consecutive seasons before that
We thank you for the time you had in Portland Dame!!!❤💯✊🏿
This was one of the best tributes ever.
I lived in Oregon up until Dame left (ironically) the amount of impact he had on not just basketball, but the city itself was amazing. He's such an amazing guy and I'm glad we were able to have him in Portland. Thank you Dame 👍🏼. That's the reason you're my favorite basketball player on and off the court. Now you're with the Bucks playing with my 2nd favorite player. And once again, thank you for all the lives you changed in Oregon.
Dame is a class act
Thanks for posting this. From the lousy ESPN broadcast you never would have known they showed this at all.
Look at his face he did that from the heart you can tell the world sho need more people that
He is such a great player. He'll he loved in Portland forever
Dame’s humility and professionalism set him apart. Any franchise would be lucky to have a guy like him representing them.
One of the well loved nba player, and why not, why not..@Damian Lillard.
THANK YOU DAME LILLARD TRAILBLAZER 4EVER 🖤❤️
All class - we deserved Dame. Fantastic tribute Portland.
Man dame is a cool guy
A true role model that is so rare nowadays.
There are lots of achievements you can bag from just being a good person in the NBA. It’s not just about talent. I am not a fan of Portland, but the love I have for Dame is really deep. I hope the likes of Ja Morant, Draymond Green can learn from this!
Great memories. After losing B Roy he got the organization a contender again.
Damn as a Lakers fan, but a diehard basketball fan, B Roy was a tough loss man. So much potential plagued by injury.
Brandon Roy was really good. Better than Lillard honestly. They used to take down the lakers back in 2009 I remember.
@@D3L3T3 nice to hear from a Laker fan. those were some fun battles back then.
@@davetakaharuAgree B Roy really was better. All around. Tragic what happened to him and D Rose.
late in the game and the blazers fans are cheering on the blazers and cheering like crazy when dame got that crazy dunk in the 4th 🥲
I LOVE HUMBLE SUPERSTARS... he couldn't even watch cuz he didn't even want to be in the spotlight...
Stafford got nothing but boos in his return to Detroit. Nice to see people actually appreciate a great player when they had one. Even if hes currently in another jersey. His impact is still there.
Stafford got disrespected and the entire purpose of that game was to see him light it up in Detroit, which he did, but he should've received a standing ovation at least after losing. Instead of still getting boo'd out the stadium.
This right here is how you handle a return of a player that impacted your team.
Made me cry, man wtf😢
PNW WILL ALWAYS LOVE DAME. YOU HELD IT DOWN FOR US WHEN OTHERS WERENT
respect to the Portland. Dame deserves all the recognition
About dame time
His legacy will remain forever in the local community.
This man is a class act...Oakland native!
Blazers GOAT! We love you Dame!
DAME a LEGEND
Love & Respect
Legend
Oakland mentality is to be loyal. Dame is an incredible representation of hardwork, character, and respect
Dame's impact wasn't just on the court... it was probably felt more so in the community. And it still is... he hasn't left this community.
Classs personified!!!
Salute bruh! Much respect💯
The realest in the NBA. Deserves everything he has or continues to get. His jersey will be retired in Portland no doubt.
Love you forever dame!
This was smart. Remind the fans in that stadium that this man cared for that city.
Deeper than basketball 😢
didn't realize dame was such a good role model
Yall funny asf....made the thumbnail look like he was crying 😅😅😂
me blazers fan im happy he got a better home
I’m not crying you are😭
This clip reminds me of the interview where Dame figured out that CJ got traded and it was the end of an era for him. The appreciation to the players shown in the video shares how the players could mean so much more than just basketball for the fans
Wow one part what he did off court and the other what he did on court it’s always just about basketball but they showed dame is greatest on and off the court 💪🏼💯👏☝️👉⌚️
Dame will always be apart of the Blazer's organization
Peace and blessings to the Portland Trailblazers organization for putting this together 🤍
Good man , did it the right way 👏 Earned his respect and opportunity to get a chip with another club
“ WEEEEEAARING THE LETTER O”…😢😅😅
Blazer Legend
Unlike LeBron, MJ and Kobe that wanted the spotlight, dame is the opposite, the spotlight wants him! That's when you know you're on a different level! RESPECT!
"Trade me to Miami and nowhere else" kinda seems like he was chasing the spotlight. You tried tho
Drose too
Give people they flowers now not till they are gone
Dame🥺🥺🥺
The thumbnail tho yall sneaky for that 😂
if im a trailblazers fan too, i would've been loving lillard so much. dude stayed for so long wanting to win in the city but the front office sucks 😂
Dame ❤
only star u cant get mad at for wanting to be traded.
Dame was bigger than basketball in Portland....
I still can't believe the Blazers beat the Bucks his first game back in Portland!
I love this video 💯👏🏿💪🏿👑🙏🏿🍾🎊🔥😇
What a great role model
from what i've seen the tribute could've been better executed. but isn't that just a microcosm of his time in portland? he means everything to that city and i'm proud to say i went to his first game and been a die hard dame fan ever since. rip city lillard forevrr
I'm not crying. You're crying.
Damn I really miss dawg 💔💔
I can see Lillard coming back to play for Portland when his career wraps up. Be a veteran mentor for the young players coming into the league. He'll get his jersey retired by them.
Well deserved great tribute not one basketball highlights all thihgs of him being a great human
Yeah that man put in work for Portland.
Respect
DAME TIME ⌚
Couldn't even get up like a gentleman to wave to the crowd..
as ive said, nurkic and kd has some good blend in D. sun is lock in Defensively.
It's bigger then basketball!!
Jody messed this team up. Sad that she didn’t want to chase a ring, which forced Dame to leave. He didn’t care if he won a ring or not, he just wanted to compete for one and the organization just wanted to tank.
Oakland, California's Finest
🔥🔥🔥
No standing ovation or did the clip not include it?
Any one else think Dame was on the right in the thumbnail? I saw two Dames!
Thumbnail made it seem like he was crying lol
with this thumbnail....
1. i thought he was crying
2. i thought that was also Damian lillard to the right of him lol
“Wearing the letter O” (Oakland his hometown) , instead of wearing number 0.
The Portland Trailblazers really loved him In Portland & still loves him💯
What did his dad say?
Why was that part cut off?
❤
I don’t care what y’all say, he should have never left and I think he knows it
