First NASCAR race I ever attended. My grandfather took me after we discussed going to a race since the spring. I’d been into racing most of my life but got heavily invested in late 2010 when I played Gran Turismo 5 on the PlayStation. Favorite driver was Jeff Gordon, least favorite was Tony Stewart. You could imagine my reaction when I saw the finish… lol. Had a great time regardless and wouldn’t have traded it for any other race. RIP Pap and thank you for being my closest fellow NASCAR fan for 20+ years.
Evem having the ticker, and watching drivers celebrate and get interviewed in victory lane after winning is what helped make NASCAR so special in the early and mid 2010's. The little things really do matter
