I remember my mom coming home and surprising me with a gilford the lighting tin after school and I almost cried it was my favorite card I was so excited lmao. As a child I only cared about the promos.

Every time I would go to a Walmart they wouldn’t have any of the cool tins like DMG, but they always had Panther Warrior.

I actually missed this era of yugioh i never got to open these tins, but still pretty cool to see.
You didn’t miss much. The pulls in these were notoriously bad. One of my fondest memories came when I turned 13 my mom got me 4 tins. I opened them all in front of my birthday guests and pulled two of the worst super rares and nothing else
Same here I was already 16 and out of Yu-Gi-Oh by this time.
Panther warrior I wish it was an entire archetype

Bought these randomly when they came out. Got them at Walmart one at a time. Didn't even know what yugioh was just thought they looked cool. Was more into Magic than anything at the time. Still have all the promos. Nice nostalgia video.
The Rocket Warrior tin is my favorite tin from 2005. I'm going to add it to my sealed collection soon
I remember me and my 2 best friends saving up to buy one of these tins each. My 2 friends got the Exarion Universe tin and the DMG tin, I ended up getting the Rocket Warrior tin. We all have our tins till this day and keep our decks stored in them :)
Love the DMG alt art, worth the price tbh.

Yessss 60k and the beautiful 2005 tins! My favorite is the Dark Magician Girl tin, followed by Exarion. We got those two with my brother when we were little, spanish ones! I still have the promos!

My favorite m is definitely “Gilford, the lighting” . I used to have this card in my deck as a child so it brings back some fond memories even know he isn’t the best by a long shot! 😂

Gilford is definitely my favorite tin. It’s the most nostalgic to me and I think the artwork is awesome.
One thing I pulled from this video is that Something you should aim to open in the future is a Dark beginning one or dark revelation box. I personally have seen on opened in a while but would love to see it. Also congrats on the 60k subs!
There's an intense nostalgia from these old cards which transports me back 20 years to when they were the currency of the school playground, I still have the vorse raider tin with all my old cards in there (thanks mum).
Being young at the time I traded the Promo card for a 2004 blue eyes white dragon. Not sure if that was a good decision, but that blue eyes card has always been my favourite, even in its poor condition i'd never swap it for a mint one! There are a few cards I wish I never traded (BLS, Red eyes, dark magician). Most of us didn't care about the rules or dueling, just enjoyed the trading and collecting aspect!

RUXIN CONGRATS ON 60K!!! So many good pulls of the video but I have to say the Dark Sage in the first tin set off everything so I think that's the favorite.
I realized the other day that the reason I got into your videos is because of all the little references and voices you do that just scratches the right ADHD itches in my brain lmao. Great energy in all of your content and I've seen the channel grow so much since 30k, you deserve it man!
I always thought Gilford the Lightning was so epic looking. It was the first tin I ever got and got it for Christmas. Btw I have pulled that exact same dark sage, but the centering on yours looks so much better haha

Favourite tin for me was Gilford the Lightning, the alternate arts etc for Blue Eyes made it my favourite above the obvious choice of Dark Magician Girl and the Dark Sage you pulled is pretty sweet!

joey did play a draft duel once in the anime, against duke devlin back at the end of season 1 when duke was a 4 episode villain. they pulled from what's prolly pharaoh's servant or 1 of the 2 sets in japan that combined to make pharaoh's servant here.

Soul of the Duelist was definitely my fav set out of these just because of the Armed Dragon line. All 3 sets were so underrated. Rocket Warrior is my fav Tin out of these (unfortunately they picked very weird monsters for those tins).

Love these tins! I bought two Dark Magician Girl tins when I was a kid, and still use them for card storage. Also made the best trade of my life over a decade ago: one of my tin DMG for the unlimited MFC version.
My favorite tin is the rocket warrior one .... I remember when i was still a kid the tins were about to get released and i kept seeing ads about em in magazines / tv , it was the one i always wanted to get ( if only they're not too expensive now lol )
