Original Gongmudohaga has no Chinese character in the lyrics. The poem is a 한역시가 - a Chinese-rendered poem*. The poem was written in 100% Korean "language" when there were no Korean "alphabets." After its creation the poem was handed down orally, until somebody scribed that in a book with Chinese characters so as to prevent disappearance. The book was discovered by scholars, and they translated the Chinese-character-version of Gongmudohaga into Korean. The translation is now widely accepted and that's what this song is based upon. However, the singer Lee-Sang-Eun had made a little twist and added the Chinese-translated version in the lyrics, which was not present in the original song. Hope this answered your question! Did you notice that all the syllables of the song match with the pronunciations of those characters in Middle Chinese, and all four lines rhyme? As such, I think calling it a Sino-Korean poem seems accurate. Are you saying that Korean scholars claim the syllables of the poem, at the time of its creation, would originally have been pronounced completely differently (using only native Korean words)? If so, I'm not sure how they could reconstruct that, since the Korean language must have changed quite a bit since the Gojoseon period.
