I really enjoy listening to this podcast. Each one is better than the last. I think it is so refreshing to see how supportive you are of each other. I appreciate all the time it takes to produce this content. Can't wait to hear more.
I just love the mom and daughter connection. You two complement each other so well. My daughter comes to me too for all her craft needs and I love that too.
I have to say you are quickly becoming my favorite podcast!! I could listen to y’all all day! I come away so inspired and ready to organize and sew all the things !! I LOVE all the organization tips!! Also, it’s so much fun with you sharing a free quilt pattern- maybe it can be a regular feature. It’s fun, but it also expands our knowledge of other quilters and designers. 😊
I love actually being able to see you and your beautiful quilts. I also love the tip on starting with a block of the month. I learned how to make rag quilts and now I have made about 20. I need to move on..haha. Thank you both!
Chelsi you made me smile when you said you started quilting "later in life" because you are so young! I started at age 52 because I didn't know anyone to show me so I just ventured out on my own by using online resources. The reason I didn't start sooner was that I was afraid of the binding. Come to find out, sewing a binding by hand is one of my favorite things about quilting! Better late than never I guess so I am trying to make up for lost time!
So happy to have come across your account and this episode! Such a joy listening to you two chat and offer tips/fun ideas! I’m looking forward to listening to the two previous episodes as well! I grew up wanting to quilt, but didn’t know anyone who could teach me. Fast forward to when I was pregnant with my son and I taught myself to quilt by watching TH-cam tutorials! So excited to find another great account to learn from!
I love listening to you two lovely ladies. it is great to hear about how you organize, your tips and other topics. You both also have very soothing voices to listen to.❤
This was a great pod cast and love that the video is now a part of it...wonderful! You two have work hard and your tips have always made me a better sewer...thank you!
Going back to your first podcasts and enjoying those early ones. Speaking of BOMs, I took a 10-yr break from quilting until 2021 I think. I found that I had all 12 months of a local quilt shop's BOM from around 2010 in a box and it really helped me get back into quilting so I agree that BOMs are a great way to begin, or get back into, quilting. Back then, the monthly fee was $5! Wow! Those were the days!
The video is a great addition! I learned the stitch and quilt from my mom, so I love hearing the mother/daughter stories. I too am nervous to break open mini charms but it sounds fun to grab multiple lines from my favorite designers for a scrappy look - thanks for sharing that idea.
Enjoy this format much more than a podcast, mainly because we can actually see what quilts or other things you are talking about. OMG so funny to hear you are hesitant to open charm packs and fat quarters. I am a newer quilter and thought that was just a “new quilter” thing lol. I do have a question for the next video... why do you have to take 3 or so different measurements of the quilt top to do the inner border and outer border? Also do you always add the side borders then the top and bottom borders in that order, is that just one of those unwritten rules? will def be picking up that planner for sure.. thanks ladies for an enjoyable video
I like the video format, watching you both talk. It looks comfortable. This reminded me of the podcasts my brother watches- he’s the techy guy in our family too. 🦋
Hello, I am a Total New Beginner to Quilting 😋 only made scrap strip blocks so far 😁 I live in the UK & never seen Jelly Rolls, mini charms or any charm packs 😮 they are all so beautiful 💕 Love your Beautiful Quilts 💜 Erica x
Great job and I love the video! It’s going to be so fun to see all the quilts. Sheri, I meet you at Quiltstock when you taught the pineapple ruler. Love making those blocks! I made a few table toppers instead of the quilt. I’ll be watching/listening to your podcast!
Love the video and podcast together. Looking forward to a lot more of them. Thank you Sherri's son for your tech know how. Like to hear about the organization ways and things that we can us and do. Your planner will my Christmas gifts to my quilt group this year even if we are not meeting to sew . Sherri I made your Flag pillow (long one) and just love it to bits. Working on the square one now hope to finish it before Sat. Chelsi I to get overwhelm with knowing about de-banding charms packs. I can do jelly rolls and be fine with it. Stay Safe you guys till the next time. P.S. think about Pat Sloan on Tues.
What a joy to see and learn from you both! Can you describe how you select fabrics for scrappy quilts so they look cohesive? It seems that many people use precuts or a specific fabric line or two. I have a huge fabric stash collected over MANY years. I need to use what I have on hand!!
I've been really enjoying your podcast, and i have to say, i love that you added video! even though you have visuals, it's still catered for if you're listening with audio only. I wondered if you guys could deep dive into your creative process a little further. i often hear, "well, i'm inspired by nature and flowers" and stuff, but how do you go about translating that into an illustration? How many iterations of a flower do you draw before it makes the cut? How do you know when you feel you have the right number of colors in a small scale print? How do you decide on colorways and how to still meld them all together? How many creative sessions do you think it takes to come up with a single pattern? (i'm sure it's somewhere between one, and "many" LOL) I'm sure you could take a whole podcast to answer all my questions! ;)
Hmmm, unwrap my mini charms and separate by color...maybe. It's funny how I have to think about it, because I do love those little packages. But then, when I cut my own minis from scraps I do just that, lol.
Thank you Sherri and Chelsi from the UK. I’ve been quilting now for a year and absolutely love your podcasts and videos. Can’t wait to start your labour of love sampler that starts in the Autumn. A question: how do you improve at keeping your blocks to the correct size?
Chelsi I love your shirt! I'm planning on starting your BOM in the next few weeks. My craft room is almost put back together, so I will be able to be organized about it! I'd love to know what your prefer for sewing machines for quilters. I have a brother that I purchased about 10 years ago as a beginning sewer.
Your Brother should be fine if you have your 1/4" seam accurate with it. I actually love Janome. They aren't as pricey as some others and have been very reliable for me. I've been sewing on them since 1997.
Thanks for your great tips in the podcasts and tutorials. I´m not yet a quilter but I´d like starting it. Thank you for your tips how to start and the note about the fat quarter shop series for beginners. Now I have one question about quilting: How are you doing that on your quilts, machine quilting or hand quilting, and how are you deciding the patterns? I´m looking forward to your next videos and podcasts.
I just recently finished my quilt top using the Fat Quarter Shop beginner series. I learned so much! It’s what I would recommend for every beginner! The detail and explanations are top notch!
Did you have the large white block holding your scissors and other items custom made?... What diameter are the holes ?...what is the height of the block?...thank you in advance
They were with the publisher for photography. Then, they were supposed to go to quilt market in May, but the show was canceled. So I finally have them back :)
Sad to here that you love charm packs and store them in a box. If you love them display them. Use them as a decoration. Even putting a high shelf that runs around your sewing room. Use like you would books. Love the show

i realize I'm kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to watch new series online?
@Anderson Quinton Ehh I'd suggest Flixportal. just search on google after it :D -alden
@Alden Phillip thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) Appreciate it !
@Anderson Quinton Glad I could help :D
Same here. I'm 54 and wanted to use up face mask fabric. Now I'm hooked.

I loved this format Ladies!! Looking forward to the Planner.
Loved listening, anything having to do with quilting sparks joy! Thank you 😊

Loved this "show"! Good vibes during trying times... ;0)
I love the quilts on display and I have the Labor of Love book. I love scrappy quilts and can't wait to get started making one of those patterns.
Loving this format! It’s so nice to see both of y’all
I enjoyed seeing both of you today!
Love your podcasts, love your fabric 😊👍🏻💛
Enjoyed watching and listening to both of you this morning!!!

Hello. First time to see/hear you & think it's awesome mother & daughter work together & share the same craft!!

Thank you so much for the questions! I will add them to the list...happy quilting!
I love your planner ideas
I’m so glad we can finally see you. 😀😷
Thank you for show, from both of you. To have a new quilter and a seasoned quilter.
I like the video format, watching you both talk. It looks comfortable. This reminded me of the podcasts my brother watches- he’s the techy guy in our family too. 🦋
Love the fact I can see both of you!
I have enjoyed listening to you two!
Loving the podcast as usual. I was listening whilst on my lunch break and stitching - bliss!
I just love that hexie quilt on the wall..Wow.. Good job girls
Much better with the videos. Love it
Thank you! 💕
I loved hearing your thoughts.
Love your podcasts! I can work around the house or on crafty projects without having to watch a video which keeps me from actually working lol!
Great podcast! Thanks for the great links!
A lovely podcast. I like the idea of a different beautiful quilt in the background each time. You both have great organisational skills 🌟🌟
So glad I tuned in...I feel like you gave me permission to combine my fabric collections, according to color ways..great info
I am excited about the planner
I have subscribed to your youtube channel, however, I am always looking for a good podcast and I have found a new one! Thank you!
I am loving this channel. I am fairly new subscriber. I am not new to quilting but not practiced. I love your work!
I just received my Labor of Love and Fresh Family Traditions books this weekend. I’m so excited. I’m looking forward to the labor of love sampler.
Look forward to the new book. I need all the help I can get 😊
You two ladies are wonderful. You’ll only get BETTER with more episodes.. will you be having guests as well.
Yes, hoping for guests in the near future!

Love your podcast ladies! I wish I could be doing this with my mom ❤❤❤
Love this pod cast!!!!
I have ordered 4 of those thread catchers from your tour and now I’m going to get Billy cabinets for a new sewing room in my house
So interesting listening to mother daughter episodes
Great job and I love the video! It’s going to be so fun to see all the quilts. Sheri, I meet you at Quiltstock when you taught the pineapple ruler. Love making those blocks! I made a few table toppers instead of the quilt. I’ll be watching/listening to your podcast!
You are my favorite pod cast, I would like to find more.
Thank you so much!
I’ve preordered the Quilting Life Planner. I ordered two, one for myself and one for my daughter, for a Christmas gift!
Thank you! I'll be sharing more about it soon, too!
This is my first time watching you. I’m so excited for you and your new Organizer. I will definitely pre-order one.
Love the video and podcast together. Looking forward to a lot more of them. Thank you Sherri's son for your tech know how. Like to hear about the organization ways and things that we can us and do. Oh, thank you! And yes we will be thinking of Pat...I can't even imagine what she is going through!
Soooo awesome, thanks
Love these podcasts! ❤️
You two are great
Loved this... thanks so much
What a joy to see and learn from you both! Can you describe how you select fabrics for scrappy quilts so they look cohesive? It seems that many people use precuts or a specific fabric line or two. I have a huge fabric stash collected over MANY years. I need to use what I have on hand!!
Great show!
Just found you guys, love the show and your fabric.
You two are so inspiring. I want to be you when I grow up. 🥰
Oh, thank you for this sweet comment!

Great job ladies. I love Kristens podcast also.
Hello, I think it is wonderful, Mother & Daughter both Sew/Quilt 😁💕 & can share this experience 😁 Erica x
just found you! Love love love what you do here. Keep it up!! :)
Guess what? We can unwrap our fabric bundles! Wow! Who would have thought?
Chelsie love your shirt! Looks like a cricut design? I actually made a shirt with that but I love your colors. Mine was glitter gold lol
I love your quilts, especially the one on the table. How long have you two been quilting and how long have you been designing quilts and fabric?
We will answer your questions in the next episode...thank you so much!
Love the podcast
Hmmm, unwrap my mini charms and separate by color...maybe. It's funny how I have to think about it, because I do love those little packages. But then, when I cut my own minis from scraps I do just that, lol.
Thank you Sherri and Chelsi from the UK. I’ve been quilting now for a year and absolutely love your podcasts and videos. Can’t wait to start your labour of love sampler that starts in the Autumn.
A question: how do you improve at keeping your blocks to the correct size?
I ordered the Bloom pattern - I'm going to use Mini Charm packs since I too collect them!
Thank you!
I would love to see Chelsea's quilting room organization.
Sherri, I watched your sewing room tour, and love it! What is the size of that room?
Does the planner have places in it to track projects that you're working on or is it strictly a calendar planner?
Yes, you can track projects and more...plus calendar pages. I'll be sharing more soon!
Did you have the large white block holding your scissors and other items custom made?... What diameter are the holes ?...what is the height of the block?...thank you in advance
I’ve never seen mini charms. They are cute! Are they 2.5”
Yes, 2.5" x 2.5"
I would have to see sample pages before I order the planner.
Yes, I will be sharing those as soon as I get permission from my publisher!
Is there a specific iron you would recommend?
Great question...I will discuss this in the next episode!
Yes I purchased the bloom pdf and when I try to download it so I can print it the Etsy page comes up and says there was an error. Can you please help
How did you start collaborating together? It sounds like a dream job.
Why has it been a year since you’ve seen your Labor of Love quilts?
They were with the publisher for photography. Then, they were supposed to go to quilt market in May, but the show was canceled. So I finally have them back :)
Similar question to the podcast recommendations, what are you favorite youtube quilting channels that we should know about?
Stratton is my maiden name!
Future question...what is a quilt, quilt pattern, or quilting sewing project you haven't made yet but would really like to.
Sad to here that you love charm packs and store them in a box. If you love them display them. Use them as a decoration. Even putting a high shelf that runs around your sewing room. Use like you would books. Love the show
M
Good stuff... cut the overused "So" lol
Suggestion: Face the camera.
