Well I done a super stealth slow methodical version, but the game did not want to give me the S Rank. It took me longer than this version. I prefer the slower method tbh…… Thanks :)
This is my 1st version, so when I finish the game, i'll come back & replay these Boss Encounters & try other methods, but for now this will do as I want to complete this game first. Taking along time :D I tried this method with a slower methodical approach, but as it's a ''Strand Only'' version with No Kicks, the game has a certain time frame & if you take too long, you simply won't get the Rank Rating: S Awesome. So in this version I had to speed things up alot in order to get the highest rank. In the first section of the Battlefield I just think running through it is the best option as you can get hit by stray bullets @ any time. But I used a certain path & keep jumping @ certain points to not get hit by bullets or explosions, plus if you take too long a plane will crash into you near the end. There are 4 phases in total. So far i discovered 2 patterns of where Cliff & The Skeleton Soldiers will be everytime. I have those 2 patterns nailed down. Phase 1: You can run up behind him and Strand him 3 times in a row, but you must step back behind him each time you strand him, then get close to him again & keep pressing the Strand command (does not respond well) as he can quickly turnaround & an Alert phase will occur with him & The Skeleton Soldiers. Phase 2: I get Cliff to go straight on & not turn right, but when doing this, 2 Skeleton Soldiers will be coming towards you, one carries on his patrol route, the other waits a bit in cover, then he moves. That's when you go! At this point There is a Skeleton Soldiers right next to Cliff as he is moving position, but if your quick enough, you can Strand him in that position without getting seen or caught. The next 2 times i strand Cliff, you must get him so that 1 The Skeleton Soldier does to not see you, if you Strand Cliff too close to where i got him @ the start of Phase 2, you will get seen & an Alert Phase will occur. Also be careful when you Strand Cliff the 3rd time when he says ''Retreat'' Sometimes a residue of a Skeleton Skull will appear & if he sees you, he can put damage on you. Phase 3: He goes into the middle with this pattern, on the 2nd pattern he goes near the back/first section of the cutscene. There are 3 Skeleton Soldiers close to him in this area. 2 Skeleton Soldiers when he turns left (where i'm using cover) & one behind me, when i'm cover! The other Skeleton is in the front/back section. I Strand him in the same place twice at the start, but the 3rd Strand i get him when Cliff is in cover! This stops any residue of Skeleton Soldiers appearing. Phase 4: Last phase for this pattern. Cliff goes all the way to the back of the battlefield map. He has 2 Skeleton Soldiers always close to him in this last part. @ 15:49 in the video, usually there is a Skeleton Soldier patrolling that area & using cover, but if you sprint there quick enough, he should not be there. I go on top of the Battlefield to circle behind Cliff, which makes taking him out on his own, without the need to take out any of the 2 Skeleton Soldiers guarding him closely. Where i Strand Cliff, there is a Skeleton Soldier right there next to him to his left (using cover), the other Skeleton Soldier is close to him using cover back & forth the whole time too. I just stay patient so i don't get caught! In Phase 2/3/4 trying to get 3 Strand hits on him like Phase 1 is very hit & miss! Cliff turns around randomly all the time left or right & once you get caught, your going to create an Alert Phase. Later on when i replay these Boss Encounters i'll try to figure out if you can nail him 3 times like Phase 1 in all 4 phases, but you have the risk of getting caught by a Skeleton Soldier, especially the one who is always close to him. That's my method for this first version & there is No Checkpoint Reloads/No Saves Used. Just one uncut playthrough from start to finish.
@@TACALACA I just worked out/studied the enemy A.I., once I knew every pattern Cliff & The Skeleton Soldiers do, then its child's play :D Also I figured out you can get Cliff to move into certain positions by doing certain actions. Apparently you can replay the Boss Encounters from your Private Room. The wall behind Sam.
you put a lot of research into this battle, i can obviously tell from your comment alone haha no stumbling and bumbling, you knew exactly where to go and what to do, it's very enjoyable to watch but i bet it was a pain to achieve, i appreciate all the effort you put into this game, bro. :) it was a little odd seeing you run and jump around though, just like in the last video lol i look forward to your videos everyday bro, keep it up. :)
I wanted to take my time, but the Mission has a time period required for S Rank when doing a ''Strand Only'' version I noticed. Like I said! I'll go back again @ some other point & try some other methods. Maybe there are ways around it. Thanks :)
on very hard , if you stand too close after stranding him once, he will kick you, or if he doesnt do that , he will roll away from you. Do you have a very hard guide?
At the time when the game was originally released on PS4, there was no Very Hard Mode, otherwise I would have done it. I played the game once & that was it unfortunately. I have no PS5, so I can’t do another playthrough on the higher difficulty.
u deserve an award and a speech for this at the game awards show lol
*You're one absolute stealthy lad*

How did you know where he was going to be? Is there an option to replay missions? 😉

@@MvpGamerSkillz Thanks for the info! That was an in depth and skillful video. You got yourself a Sub! 😃
@@TACALACA Thanks :) I'll do more versions of these Boss Encounters once I finish the game. Pretty sure I can do way more methods.
Took me far too long to get around to watching this.
Now that I have: a salute and a thank you.
Damn good performance.
Thanks :)
