No WAY! I just got my first Scotty Laguna a few weeks ago now you do a video. I can't wait to try it on mine. Love you videos man. Keep up the great work!
For paintfill, I use Tamiya mainly. Testors I also use for odd colors. I order custom applicators from Gaunt Industries. All different bottle and tip sizes.
Awesome job !!! I have a Scotty Cameron Titleist Studio Select Newport 2 that I want to restore. What is the grade of sandblasting material to use on putters.? Is there any specific type finish coating you recommend ? I sure hop I don't ruin this Newport 2 🙏
@@igolf906 You are the man. Last question, when you are sand blasting is there one grade that you use mostly or do you go between the two grades often?
How would you clean up the backside if the wheel didn't fit? Thinking like the smaller areas like on an answer style, along the sight line and in some of those corners
Tamiya and testors depending on the application. And usually an hour or so. If I'm filling dots like in the cavity, I let it set overnight and bare minimum.
First of all , thank you for educating me! I was curious , let’s pretend you only used that 6 inch 3m . How many putters would you go through before needing to replace the wheel? I know that’s a loaded question but a rough estimate would be fine with me ! Thanks again
Hard to say. A wild guess would be a dozen or so. Maybe less, maybe more. Not really sure. I don't use it often as I have a handful of other wheels to use.
What do you do when a putters face is milled and has dents and dings ? I know you can get them out but I’m sure the client will want a re-milling . Right? Do you just tell them straight up I don’t do that or do you dip into your profits and send it off ?
Hi, it was an another great video to watch on your channel. Thank you so much! I have some questions to ask regarding air compressor. What was your psi during the insert sand blasting? Can we use air compressor that is under 7CFM for sand blasting for glass beads? Lastly, do you have any plans for sand blasting Ping brass copper putters by any chance?
For finish blasting, it's glass bead. And I spray between 60 & 80 psi depending on the application. And I've done a few brass heads before with a satin bead blast yes. As far as cfm, anything will work. Just depends on how patient you are between the compressor running. Mine is an 80 gallon at 16cfm at 90psi so I can get a good amount blasted before it kicks on.

Thank you!
Beautiful work as always-makes me want to send you another project!
Hit me up!
love your videos bro, Keep it up!!
Thank you!
Thanks for another great video....what paint manufacture do you use? And which applicator do like the best? Thanks!
For paintfill, I use Tamiya mainly. Testors I also use for odd colors. I order custom applicators from Gaunt Industries. All different bottle and tip sizes.
Love the videos! What is your preference in paints?
Tamiya and Testors. Depends on the colors I choose and the application.
Hi, What kind of paint and paint tools do you use to finish the putters? Been digging the videos!
For the paintfill, check my video description for all of my tools and equipment. Everything is listed there!

For a factory finish, I bead blast with 240 grit glass. As far as other coatings I mainly use Cerakote.
Do you put a drop of water in the dots before the paint? Epic video man you do great work
Nope it's mineral spirits. If you get a nice thin film of it, it makes the paint flow much better

By hand with sand paper if it's bad. MOST cavities are decently clean so, usually don't need much work. I don't recommend usually a dremel.
I’m considering purchasing a used laguna select. What would it cost to send it to you for a similar restoration to include face milling?
Responded to your email!
I bought a Bench Buffer. Can I buy bench grinder wheels attachments for my bench grinder 6 inch
Yes. Check my video description for a few examples of wheels.
What kind of paint you use? and how long do you let it sit before you clean it off?
Tamiya and testors depending on the application. And usually an hour or so. If I'm filling dots like in the cavity, I let it set overnight and bare minimum.
What solvent was used to remove paint?
Acetone.
@@igolf906 thank you

I offer a smoothed face option. Otherwise, if the face is bad and needs remilled, it gets sent out. I charge for the cost of the milling.
