- On Monday 1st April, the hate speech law came into effect in Scotland. Comedy Unleashed organised a gig in Edinburgh to draw attention to it and puncture its absurdity.

This guy's brilliant. I feel like I discovered him far later than I should've.
I go to watch him as often as I can. Pharmacy should issue tickets to his shows instead of anti-depressants ;-)
He's brilliant. I discovered him when he wrote the song '17 Million Fk Offs' regarding the Brexit referendum result.
He also recorded a video regarding his reasons for voting Leave.
Worth a watch - informed, reasoned and very interesting.
He's an intellectual giant our Dominic.

Our ally America. " What he realized was American intentions of destroying the British Empire . Which they did .

I am a passionate disbeliever in Climate emergency, I feel I am with friends viewing this and feeling happy.
You can't use the science for one issue and deny it for another.
But you can read the science and interpret it differently from the other scientists. That's what scientific endeavour used to be.
When you come across a CC activist frothing about a single day having temperatures of 35C just remind them that in 1976..that is 50 years ago! there were 5 consecutive days when it was over 35C, something not seen today. 35C is not unusual as this has happened according to an academics analysis 24 times in the last 100 or so years. The average UK temperature in the first 7 months of 2023 was lower that of 2022 and it is lower in 2024 than 2023 over the same period. There are more heat islands now as the population has moved from 56M to 69M which is never accounted for just in the figures which goes to show they are not comparing like with like when referring to older temperatures
Watching this, I'm thinking maybe ther is hope after all. 😂

Almost no one can even define "race".
There is no strict definition since the word is not used by biologists or geneticists today, but that doesn't mean that it is not a valid concept. And yes "sub-species" is defined and reading the definition makes it clear that the concept is as valid when classifying humans as any other animal.
