It is not even that line. It is not "part" which makes no sense in this sentence, but "party". You were trying to appreciate something too much in a forced manner and did not cared that what you were hearing makes no sense. Sense was assumed and situation, tone and context made this enjoyable for you.

Like in series 1 he played Santa Claus stuck up a Victorian chimney, and a Greek soldier hiding in the Trojan Horse. If I'm not mistaken, he's also the guy in the rocking chair in the Cowboy Song. I recognised him straight away in the first sketch I saw him in-I recognised his voice cos he read the audio versions of some of the books that came free with some newspaper.
