Lancer: ignores the fact that his heart was ripped out and proceeds to gae bolg you
Its canon so its balanced
Literally one of the things he can do and did so in the show. And his gae bolg auto tracktion makes sense since when thrown, it will always hit the opponent's heart no matter what, even affecting reality. But i agree his m1's are weird and soaring strikes should be nerfed.
i mean... he stabbed his heart in the anime, but hes still alive

Lancer's base is S Tier for lower tiers of players
However for higher tier of players that know how to counter things, hes not good.

Lancer's insane hyperarmor and uncancellable move with little to no windup is insane, which is why I hate this character and mainly if you main M1 characters Lancer can take advantage of that slight bit of opening when you're combo'ing him with his stupid Flourish/Blink Thrust

Imo, lancer's lunge is one of the worst gap closers, it has hyperarmor, yeah, but it has an animation you can't cancel, and any character with a projectile can easily dodge/block it and punish you for it, while moves like flashstep are gap closers that are practically unpunishable, you can even block while being inside the move.

Lemillion is really easy to counter, just turn up your sound. You can also predict what they'll do next based on cooldowns.

^ You guys do realize that whether the character is easy to counter or not, it’s completely irrelevant. People dont hate these characters because they are hard to play against, they hate them because they are annoying and the players are annoying.

Fun fact I was doing a lancer mirror match and I sold my awakening on 2nd stock while he was last cause he I-framed my gae buldge with awakening and i respawn and try to one shot combo him and I start with blink thrust and I actually I frame the one shot which I didn’t even know was a thing then and managed to clutch the game

Lancer goes in pretty good but insanely annoying characters for me, any character with a one combo (80% of the roster) stops him from using blink thrust, and since most lancer are just hurr durr press button hes not that bad, but getting hit by the stun part of lunge is infuriating
wait does gae bolg still one shot when under 80% if not blocking?
edit: nvm if used under 80% and not blocking it deals 100 and in guts it deals 135, if blocked it deals 25
