Railroad Crossing compilation video of grade crossings with mechanical bells mostly on them. Till this day they're still a lot of mechanical bells at crossings but also a lot replaced.
It's mechanical bells that bring a sense of beauty to railroad crossings, as they've got a classic sound that people can recognize, and sometimes are even easier to hear than electronic bells, but someday, the last mechanical bell will be removed from commercial service. It is that day, that all signal-fans around the globe will come together and retaliate with what will be known as, "The Railroad Re𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹ion", to avenge our fallen electromagnetic friends being replaced by railroads too lazy to actually maintain them.
Great video/compilation! Love all mechanical bells featured here, especially the classics! Those ones on the Napa really give me good memories of when Metrolink had a ton of Safetran mechanical bells!

Like the first one, I miss those type of level crossings that had Mechanical bells and the tall relay box that the gate was connected to

I love when crossings have a whole mess of mechanical bells, it's a sound you don't hear very much anymore, especially on Class 1s

I miss the old days when all bells were “real”
At this point, GS, NEG and WCH should just be called speakers, they don’t deserve the “bell” in electronic bell

The crossings that have more than 2 are the best.

Oh I’m too familiar with the mechanical bells. I think it’s better than the current fake e-bells.
