Josh is great player. Comparing him to John is like comparing an apple and orange. They are both and great but different. Who else could fill johns shoes and do the vocals. Big fan of both.

Long time fan here, since the 90's. But the outro from "Goodbye Angels" live is one of the most powerful moments in their entire catalogue. Massive energy. Great concert! Thanks to Josh Klinghoffer for being himself and helped to keep the band alive for ten more years. John is back now and they seems happy together again. The world will need RHCP happiness and chemistry after all this pandemic. Peace and love!

Red Hot Chili Peppers perform live at Reading Festival 2016 broadcast by BBC on 27 August 2016 at Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, England.
The members were Anthony Kiedis on vocals, Flea on bass and vocals, Chad Smith on drums and percussion and Josh Klinghoffer on guitar and vocals.
The presentation was for an audience of about 60 thousand people.

Great to see Josh finally finding his place in the band. He sounds so good in this concert. No point of comparison with John now. Each one has their own style. Josh is a worthy replacement just like John was to Hillel.

I must give props to josh. He improved a lot and now you can actually hear his guitar. I love the solos he played here. Did not think i would ever say that because i was always really critical of him. I would LOVE to see a live performance of them now. The band seems to really enjoy playing together now.
John is on another level for me but they have completely different styles and sounds, and you just gotta respect josh.
He totally upped his game..I had never seen these recent performances but he really was on fire with the getaway tour. Glad to see he started to give with the band and was able to put on some great shows.
I really miss him, this energy is now gone...

@@baxatakbaxatak2014 The albums are fine, but even Dave Navarro was a better contributor to the band. I was just responding to the comment on Josh being one of the best guitarists all while the hits and biggest solos are from John’s tenure.
Dude, Navarro was shit. He tried turning the Chilis into Jane’s, and it didn’t work. Josh’s sound has been way better. John, Josh, Hillel, Dave.

Best live concert of the last 20 years. Also check out Lollapalooza Chile and Rock in Rio 2012. Josh and Derek Trucks and Jeff Beck, 3 best guitarist living.

That is something i have not could achieve. The Getaway has some great songs but i don't find it really fantastic. I had that feeling with I'm with you. Despite everybody say some bad things about it i really enjoy a lot of songs of that album. Something that does not happen with The Getaway... i' m gonna try to listen it more to see if i find that feeling....

Great crowd! Great band. Met Chad last year at a drum clinic, I took a painting over I'd done of him, he was such a nice bloke. Always scared about meeting idols, but he's so down to earth, got a photo and he autographed a Slane DVD for my son.

I would never thought that there could be a man capable of playing like this a Frusciante's song but I have to admit that Josh Klinghoffer plays like a funk monster. Being a friend and play-mate of Frusciante, as well as being, obviously a great guitarist is the reason that is possible :)

I was born in Mother's Milk era but really became a huge fan around By the Way. Chili Peppers are one of the greatest bands ever. I'm almost 29 years old and they are my favorite
i left the u.s in 2008 and haven't followed rhcp as serioulsy since then. i'm watching this and am so glad they're still rockin with the same energy as the stadium arcadium era. and man, josh is a worthy inheritor of the position he's filled. i can't believe these guys still rock this hard. i'm 28 years old and already tired just from rockin out to the intro in the comfort of my crib

4:37 The way Josh did the backing vocals using the melodies of the Can't Stop chord progression (Em, D, Bm, C) is so genious of him. I'd do the same thing on his place.
I'm a guitar player myself, and as each day passes, I feel like I'm his brother of soul. The energy he likes to bring in the shows and records, the way he approaches with fidelity each song he is playing, cover or original, that's something I agree on the dude, and I can't find on any of the gigs that Frusciante did in the last 5 years.
Damn, this concert gave chills the whole time, so much respect for this band

Now THAT'S crowd interaction! Brings me way way WAY back to when I saw RHCP at the UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans in 1992 on their Lollapalooza tour just inches from realeasing their Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik album. What a time that was. Great to see their longevity spanning generations. Good to see a FUN band playing great music and not taking themselves too seriously!

I was there at the time and the atmosphere was amazing, it was packed, no one moshed as everyone just stood shoulder to shoulder and admired the music especially after the incredible flea solo
