Sr …… thank you !! Thank you !!! Thank you !!!! From the bottom of my heart thank you !! I was very frustrated because my filter was leaking water all over !!! You save my life from drowning in water 😭
Same here. Water everywhere.. So simple on the install to rotate it counterclock-wise then push, then clockwise. Why isn’t this in the install instructions? Now I have a giant load of towels from the water everywhere to wash . Ugh
One thing to add: you might need to cut the water line behind the fridge off before adding the filter. I did that and let the auto refill pitcher kick on to drain the excess water from pressure.
@ the second time I did it after watching this I turned the water line off to my house and ran the sinks in my house until they all stopped. Then I replaced the filter. Might sound extra but there was no water all over the place.
No pushing should really be involved, just twisting. Counter clockwise to take out and clockwise to put in. Just twist it until it locks as pushing hard my cause unnecessary damage. I've done 3 filter swaps on mine now and it's super easy
PLEASE PLEASE, PLEASE. DO NOT PUSH HARD! No pushing should really be involved, just twisting. Counter clockwise to take out and clockwise to put in. Just twist it until it locks as pushing hard my cause unnecessary damage. I've done 3 filter swaps on mine now and it's super easy
@@DIY-repair Mine didn't and it was a disaster. Samsung recommends shutting off the water line first. I found out the hard way this is the proper way to replace the filter.
He didn't mention it , but the FIRST thing to do is TURN OFF THE WATER TO THE FRIDGE!!!! Believe me, this is a step you don't want to skip. Do this before you do anything else.

Wow thanks for the video. I was almost about to move the fridge and shut the water line.
Thank you!

The first time I did this I got water all over the place but this video saved my life second time around. Thank you sir 🫡
Same
The same happened to me. Do I drain the water line first before changing it?

Can you use pitcher without water hookup
You make it look so easy, but mine will not go in. What am i doing wrong?
Adjust the filter's position the same way as you can see on the video, and then push it hard.
Make sure you turned off the water line
This doesn’t seem to work for me 😢it’s like when I try to push it in and turn the fridge pushes the filter back out smh

@ thank you! I was finally able to figure it out. I think the pushing was definitely the problem
Every time I replaced the filter, it leaks to the center drawer 😡. I have nothing but trouble with this filter.
I know this replacement is tricky
Ok so first time replacing filter and yes my fridge is leaking.

in the manual it says to shut off the water supply line first? how do I do this?
It works just without shutting the valve off
I didn't shut the valve off the first time and got water all over the place. I will try again when I get a new filter.
