    This did it. I've been thinking about it for a while. Between you and Dylan, after seeing this last night, I went to the Texas Toast website and bought a guitar. It's not a Challenger, but I'm still excited to try out a TTG

    Beautiful guitar ! Looks excellent. Those P90's sound incredible. It would be perfect for me if it had fretboard inlays and a belly cut. I love the body shape. Kind of a compromise between a Telecaster and a Wolfgang.

    guitar of the weak !!! no no no... seven day strong guitar ! at least for the song.

    Phillip, I watch your shows all the time as I am bedridden nice Pandemic. I know that the owner from Texas toast gets his guitar bodies and necks from the Father and daughter I believe in Colorado. That's all Texas Toast is doing is putting them together. Most of us had Legosas a child and can put them together. As , I do agree time and money are both a major factor I feel there is zero transparency. He starts a business teaching how to build guitars by hand, but ever other guitar builder or most use CNC machines. So to me this is sort of he way of advertising saying I now am going to charge you $2200. For a guitar that will need to be put together, stained or painted, electronics etc. High prices it's cheaper to purchase a CNC machine that doesn't need to be a $250,000 one you can spend $500 plus software. and make multiple guitars Trying to play my guitar again due to damaged spinal cord, enjoy your show. Stuart

    • @23centrifuge
      @23centrifuge 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      This is wildly off the mark. I also live in Colorado and have been lucky enough to spend time in their shop. 1) they are 100% transparent about the process for the level 1’s and 2’s. 2) having watched them work on the level 2, the work they are doing is no different than any manufacturer in terms of what the CNC does vs what the human does. They do more outside the cnc machine than PRS, Gibson, Fender, or any other builder that is building more than 100 guitars a year does. They designed the guitar, they build the guitars, and they are beautiful and unique. I say this as a person who has seen their work. Seems odd for you to try to tear down another Coloradan that is making a name for themselves because they are not doing absolutely everything with a pin router and rasp…

    • @23centrifuge
      @23centrifuge 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      And on the transparency issue, watch their channel. They are 100% transparent about every element of their building process for all their models. They even talk about the who and why they work with for the cnc component in their weekly livestreams.

      @kandlekulish1484 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@23centrifuge So, you like the show and the dude, he still gets his materials bodies, necks hipshots etc from Colorado, that most of us even me being a almost 100% quad can put it together like a toy. I don't know about you but as a small child I put together small motors metal toys as these were the things back then. Everything today is made with a CNC or software.We also didn't throw out things that broke that adds to the landfills, we repaired them.$2200.00 for that guitar. Now you know why a Martin guitar had been in business so long without going bankrupt.Have a good one.

    Honestly, there's a need or even a demand for THAT? The shape is an interesting variation on a classic single cut and those pick ups have surprisingly more definition that most P90s that I've heard so far, but most comments so far are so unreasonably positive and uncritical! Are they all from family members? This is indisputably dull. Come on, it's a plain table top. Look, Phil says it plays great, so I'm sure it does and If all this was a project guitar I'd be more understanding, because I certainly couldn't do better myself. But this is a production guitar, they want to sell? One look at it will instantly put anyone under 50 to permanent sleep. Go ahead and call it the Narcolepsy.

    • @kandlekulish1484
      @kandlekulish1484 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They have lots of choice on finish but with that amazing maple, why would you cover that up?

    • @anewkindofman
      @anewkindofman 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kandlekulish1484 When you say finishes, you mean colour right? Because I don't think it would make it significantly more interesting. I respect your opinion, but wood grain patterns leave me cold. It has the personality of an insurance sales agent. Is it a table, a cabinet panel or an electric guitar? And it's not a question of price either. I wouldn't have it for free. It doesn't wanna be pick up. It looks like it wants to rest and I don't think an OEM produced guitar for an unknown brand would have any resale value either.

    • @ironmikezero
      @ironmikezero 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So, anewkindofman finds this guitar not to his taste? Well, that's fine, but to disrespect posters who feel otherwise, find it appealing, and so comment is, well, not so gracious. He is certainly entitled to his opinion, notwithstanding his somewhat disparaging remarks regarding those whom he evidently sees as elderly, and/or those suffering from a certain neurological disorder (which he may not realize that some may find more offensive than humorous). In the alternative, let us rather accept his contribution to the discussion at its face value, and appreciate its depth of comprehension and empathy for his fellow musicians and those craftsmen/artists who ply their trade with passion as luthiers. We wish him a long and happy life.

    • @anewkindofman
      @anewkindofman 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ironmikezero LOL. Read it carefully, I did say I couldn't do better and that it was an interesting shape. Sorry know he is not an artist, he's a builder who has a business with the single gold to sell units to you, to me. You are being hyperbolic for dramatic effect. Drama maybe your thing, it's not mine. This guitars is not an a piece of art, it is a simple tool for musician that has been assembled by him from pieces of woods cut by a CNC machine. It doesn't mean it doesn't require skills, but those skills don't make him an artist. It is not a portait painting of his own daughter! Seriously, feel no obligation to show respect to an inanimate piece of wood turned into a product that has been pushed to this channel with the only goal to sell it to you, me and everyone here. As such, I gave my opinion about it. And now that you forced me to look at it again, it looks even worst that I remembered it.
