FYI: Donkeys are routinely used as cattle/sheep protectors instead of dogs because they are MEAN when confronted by potential predators, especially anything even remotely resembling a canine. Those elk have a live-in bodyguard and have NEVER been safer.
Also that donkey is super dedicated because she chose that job. She was lost (or maybe wandered off) while on a trek with her owners. They found her when the elk farmer posted that video and decided to let her stay with the herd because she's happy
They can bite through the spine of a coyote.
I love the story behind the Donkey (Diesel) with the Elk. On the original video the donkeys owners left a comment saying something along the lines of "he was their donkey and had been missing for years after he got spooked on a hike and ran away. They had search parties out looking for him for weeks and he was never found. This video was the first they had seen of him in years and they were just happy to see he was alive and well."
I saw that story too, but I can't remember where. He's been out there living his best life with his new family. It's so sweet! 🦌❤️🐴

If you look into the sources of some of the clips where he says this, it's not always true. Sometimes people are hurt or worse. eg. there was one a while back of someone running onto an airport tarmac and he did not survive. There was a fire truck that spun out on black ice where he said there was no damage when you could see it hitting a car.

I remember the story about that donkey. Apparently it got spooked and ran off and the owners were searching for it for a very long time. When they found it their donkey had got a new family they decided to let it live with them instead of brining it home. It's an oddly wholesome story.

There was a story on the Donkey, it was domesticated of course like 5 years ago. It randomly was spotted with the Elk and it basically is the leader of the herd apparently.
Since they have been domesticated to guard other livestock I guess it makes sense that it'd join any old herd in nature.
If you pay attention you'll see the donkey turns first. They all think they're donkeys.

I would think being that it’s a domesticated breed it would need its hooves trimmed eventually, or it could end up lame.
I actually just saw something about this donkey, he'd gone missing while on a hike with his owner and their llama in 2019 and his previous owners searched for him for a long time but after they couldnt find him they thought he had died, it wasnt until this footage came out and the owners saw it that they realized it was the same donkey. They've decided to let him remain free with his herd, since its likely the donkey acts as a protector due to their nature of aggression towards predators!

You should not let your cat be near your rodents or other small pets. Sure, guinea pigs aren't as small so the cat is less likely to attack it, but it's still not a good idea. Even if the cat doesn't attack attack, if it does decide to use claws for any reason that can still severely hurt smaller animals or get them sick. It's just not a good idea all around for them to have the cat with the guinea pig, it is highly irresponsible.
Also, the guinea pig wasn't a fan of the cat.

Imagine a creature that’s 5 times bigger than you putting half their weight on one spot of your back. Not to mention the claws that the cat has. It’s a bigger issue than you might expect.

It is less likely the cat would try to attack the guinea pig since it's decently large, but it still could happen. Even if it never attacks, it could easily hurt it on accident either with its claws or by putting too much weight on it. Smaller animals don't do well with getting scratched by a cat on purpose or on accident.
Even if the cat never hurts the guinea pig at all, it's still irresponsible because it puts a lot of stress on the guinea pig. There's this other animal with claws a few times bigger than it is and the guinea pig has no idea if the cat will try to hurt it or not. Domesticated animals can get used to other domesticated animals in theory but it can still cause a lot of stress on them.
It's just unnecessary risks and stress on the animals
