Cates should see everything that Jason does as he settles back into his life as a good thing, particularly Jason restoring Carly's half of the Metrocourt! That gesture rings true to Jason and Carly's dynamic. It keeps the focus more on Jason being back, rather than on where he's been. If Jason was to focus on Pikeman to the exclusion of anything else, as Cates seems to be demanding, it will raise suspicions! Why did he bother to come back, if he's not going to reconnect with family and friends? What is he really up to?

First I was thinking she tryna get close to help Jason but now am not too sure. Liked that Anna can confide in Jason and am happy she smart enough to know Valentin is off.
