Don't buy a face balanced putter like this, we've been lied too...

  • Have we been lied too about face balanced putters?
Do faced balanced putters (as we know them) even stay face balanced during a putting stroke?...
In today's video we're testing the NEW LAB LINK 1 PUTTER which does stay face balanced during a putting stroke, but will we be able to feel anything during testing?...

I’ve been using the DF2.1 since last May and would never think about changing back . Did the remote fitting and can’t fault anything from L.A.B they were first class for the very first email , Scores have dropped considerably but again if you can’t read greens or judge pace correctly it doesn’t matter what you use .
    Definitely a 10/10 from myself ⛳️

The technology behind these putters is that they really are for Everyone regardless of their stroke, because of it being balanced on the Lie Angle, the face will stay square to whatever stroke you have be it straight back and through or even more of an arched stroke.

I did think that as when I was rocking it, it arced slightly into square to in itself.

Gary I've recently bought a new putter for 125 quid. It works very well , it's the most expensive club I've ever bought.

I keep looking at these, but then look at the price, but having said that I have spent 270 euros on a Odyssey White Hot Versa Double Wide Blade 6 months ago then had a putt with a Odyssey White Hot Versa Twelve CS mallet and ended up buying it!!! Another 270 euros, that’s 540 euros in 6 months on putters 😢 We all love a better mouse 🐁 trap don’t we? Add to that a new Mizuno 260 Max driver this month ( fortunately I got the driver at trade price ) but I’ve still done in almost 1000 euros in the last 6 months!!!
It’s always the operator, but if you have a cheap Chinese shifting Spanner you will always do your nut in!!
    Good review Gary.

I bought the LAB Mez Max, withe full fitting and upcharge graphite shaft. It’s the best feeling, easy to line up and a great confident strike. I put in an arc. Best putter I’ve ever used, even better than my Kramski. It cost me £640 and I DON’T regret it.

I’d been considering this, I have a really lovely-feeling buttery Tour Edge Eden, which is a steal at $100 and very traditional blade. I’d been pulling my short and nervy putts until I saw a video and guide that recommended tucking the elbows and that has drastically improved all of my putting the past couple of weeks. I think the person holding the club dictates more than the club.

    • @garymartingolf

I could never fathom why so many golfers are more than willing to spend £500+ on a driver which they may use 10-12 times in a round but scoff at paying £400-£500 on a putter that they use 36-40+ times in a round. Their priorities are all wrong to me.

I got fitted at Scottsdale Warrington for £20, tried all the LAB range. Settled on the Mezz 1 and it is a fantastic putter. £480ish all in. Standard shaft. I would have needed an upgraded shaft if id gone for the Mezz Max , as i lost the feel of the head with standard shaft. The feel is lovely and the weight. It won't be leaving my bag. You need to slightly adjust your technique in that the hands need to be softer /looser grip and let the face balance do its job. All that's left is pace and line😂 Honestly, I won't go back.
