is it still true that the gauge cluster goes bad often like in the previous years? also what is your thoughts on the quality of the plastics? some say the plastics are more brittle and break easier than other brands. looking to buy one and doing my research. thanks!
Thanks Jarred and the team over at 3SeasRecreation for your help with picking the right upgrades for my 2023 Xtrainer and in general for all the helpful info on your channel. You’ve been number 1 source on betas for me and I love the format of the videos you make. I’m 6ft and previously owned Yamaha WR250F and was on Kawasaki KLX300R until about a week ago when I got the Xtrainer. The lighter nimble feel of the xtrainer and smooth detuned 2stroke is amazing on tighter technical trails we ride here in Pacific Northwest. I was a bit worried the smaller frame or the vibration of the 2 stroke gonna be an issue but you quickly adjust to it. After the heavier KLX riding some of those muddy hills on the Xtrainer felt like cheating :D I’m getting lowered Fastway Evo footpegs and bar risers, gonna experiment a bit to see if I can make it more comfortable for standing position (feeling just a tad cramped there) as it’s the only thing I’m kinda missing from my KLX. Other than that the bike feels perfect for what I need.
Ive been tuning and tweaking my 23 xtrainer since i got it in may. My setup work’s excellent. These bikes come really lean for sea level to 1200 ft. Here is my setup. Fmf pipe, stock silencer, removed resonance chamber spacer,38 pilot,165 main,n8rg needle second position,rr filter cage.the bike will get a 168 main when it cools off. Looove the bike!the carb adjustments gets ride of 90% of the weird engine knock sounds.
Can’t wait to get mine! I got a deposit down on one. As a shorter guy the XT smaller frame was the sold point! KTM and the red doesn’t care for short people lol. Thank you Beta!!!
i’m getting this next week. this or the ktm 300xcw but i’m only 5’10 on my best day and hate the stretch with ktm 😭 beta probably has the nicest look other than ktm too
Great overview! Just picked up a 24 Xtrainer and this was all super helpful info to have for familiarizing myself with this bike. So stoked to get out and rip on some trails!
Hey 3 seas, can you tell me how to manually prime the oil injection. I was riding in Idaho at elevation and upon getting it home I had about a half inch of air in the oil injection line. Is there a way to manually prime it? Thanks
These and other Beta's are absolutely bullet proof. I ride with guys that have them, they have several hours on them with no issues at all, very dependable. Great bikes.
@@thehungryhunter3454 Sorry to hear that brother. I sure hope you can get them sorted out and enjoy. Nothing worse than bike issues. Take care I hope it turns around for you!
How much oil does the injector tank hold and average time it lasts. Considering one of these but always been a Japanese bike guy because of their quality can the Beta hold up as long?
I have the 23 xtrainer...apologies if you already did a specific video on this and i missed it, but how does the fmf performance header pipe affect the power and performance; does it keep (or improve)the nice low end of the stock pipe?
nice video on the 24 xtrainer. noticed there was no magnetic key on the bike. is beta going to retrofit the key at a later date, or is there going to be no magnetic key on the north american xtrainer?
Soft seats = weight and height and I don't need that. I've been riding a mountain bike seat for 30+ years so you could put a piece of plywood down for a seat on these and it would feel like a Barcalounger.
I have a kid who is 15 going on 16,, Approx 5ft-8'' 125-130lb.. Curretly rides a 2008 Polaris Sportsman 800. However wants a dirt bike. Is the Xtriainer something you would recommend or something else ? Thanks in advance ..
I watch your channel quite often, anyway I live in Arizona and just purchased 2 2024 XTRAINERS. According to the specs they claim its seat height is 35.8 inches stock. Every which way I measure the bike its at least 36”. Any input?
Good Evening, thank you for checking out our channel! Much Appreciated! Yes the seat height is higher this year on the XT. I think it is mainly due to the fact that the new seat that they say is "softer" is a taller seat in general. We could always drop ship you a few "Low Comfort Seats"! Enjoy The Ride, Jared
@@kensmith3665 Thanks Ken for your reply, however I got the Beta lowering kit put on by Beta themselves. Professionally done. After my new bike showed up it measured 36 inches. The lowering kit claims it’s a 2 inch kit, what gives. It’s tough being small.
"Keeping it on reserve most of the time"? uh....no! I ride mine on the street and dirt, and when it starts sputtering you go to reserve....you also get to know what the range is pre and post reserve that way....
Some bikes make you switch over to reserve really early. I’d you’re riding technical single track, nothing is worse than the bike sputtering or stalling due to lack of fuel. With a clear tank you can easily keep track of the level throughout the day. I’ve been doing this since day 1 of riding, and have never ran out of fuel.

late reply. but look into the combination of a mako 360 and a pair of odi handlebars. I got that for my 24 xtrainer and it was game changing.

22' is when they came out with the re-designed engine. That's a major change you probably should have mentioned.
He did at 2:30
No he didn't. He said 16-22 were very similar bikes some changes but not a whole lot lol major change took place in motor at 22.

Sure, wish they'd make this in a 4-stroke as well. Thinking of selling my 2023 KTM 300.
A 350 4 stroke xtrainer would be a interesting idea.

hahahaha that's funny I have a 22' with 170hrs and I've got a list of crap as long as my arm that sucks about this bike.

Great video!
Do you have to re jet the bike if you change the air filter cage?
When you Change the cage in a Open one from the RR Modell. Should you Change the jetting?
Thanks!
That is a good questing and it wouldn't be a bad idea to take the main/ pilot jet up one size. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

Does the 2024 still need the setup tweaks that the 2023 required? Dielectric grease, cable routing etc….? Thanks!
Yep, every new bike needs the same similar routine. Maybe not the cable routing but the rest yes. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

Beta is awesome
Crazy huge rear tire though. I'd replace that with a 130 80 18.
Most people do after the stock tire wears out. Not many folks run the 140 unless they are Hard Enduro riders. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
